This is my last guest designer card for Inky Impressions Rubberstamps. A huge thank you to Nicole, Jackie, and the DT girls for allowing me to join in their fun these past two months.
Today starts a new challenge at Inky Impressions and the theme is "Pink, Green, and Yellow". For my card I used some My Mind's Eye papers in those colors to created a layered effect. I added a little stitching on each section just for fun.
The image is Chatterbox Lili and she's colored with Copics. I've added some ribbon and those cute little flat back pearls in yellow are from the Inky Impressions store.
So break out some papers and embellies in these fun colors and come join in the challenge.

One egg, or two?

Mmm, mmm! Don't those cookies look delicious! These are my hubby's favorite and no, the card is not THAT small, the cookies are THAT big! LOL I've made them smaller a couple of times, but he always wants to know why I'm messing with his cookies. LOL
Our Papercraft Star challenge this week is "The Kitchen". I recently purchased this little chef for a couple of reasons. (1) I'm a chicken fanatic, and (2) I just thought he was so cute! :-) He's from Bugaboo Stamps and he's called Roy Poly Chef.
The card was made with a combination of papers. The center piece is Making Memories and I just knew I had to use it since it looked so much like an old aged recipe card. The decorative design is part of the paper and I stamped the sentiment. I used a MFT Notebook edge die on the other edge to make it look like it had been in a notebook at some time or another.
Mr. Roly Poly is colored with Copics. I added some buttons and lace and those fun tickets. My sweet friend Dana created those a long time ago and I grabbed them out of my file and added the words.

Surprise! LOL Bet you weren't expecting to see something like this little lady were you. :-) Normally I wouldn't go for the risque type of image (wink), but I just couldn't resist this little flirt from the A Day For Daisies February Club kit. There are actually several images in this style in the kit plus all those cute little critters you've been seeing here.
This is Gaby and she has been colored with Copics plus a little Perfect Pearls. I wish you could see the shimmer, but it just won't show up in the photos. Her dress was "painted" with Pearl and she's wearing Forever Green eyeshadow.
The card background was created using a script digital paper. I just received the Eiffel Tower image free when I purchased a couple of stamps from Make it Crafty. I just layered it on top of the script cause I do believe my girl has a bit of the French in her. Ooh La La!! :-)
Have a marvelous Tuesday! It's Mardi Gras day here, but I avoid that like the plague so I will be having a nice lunch with my bestie. Au revoir!

Our theme this week at The Kraft Journal is "Fabulous Finds" and boy could I make a list right now! There are so many cool things coming out and so many new ways to use all that older crafty wonderfulness. :-) My main fabulous find on here is the doodling. Now I know doodling has been around forever, but I have been seeing some cards lately on Fi's blog that are just so stinkin' cute with all that doodling that I decided to give it a try. I've linked directly to one of her cards with lots of fun doodling, but you can scroll through her blog and find lots more. You'll see a little more on another one of my cards this week, but this one has lots. I love to stitch on my cards, but I think this looks just as good.

Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock forms the base of the card as well as the sentiment, and punched flowers. It also forms the top layer of the hinge flaps. I cut two layers of chipboard hinges and glued all three together for a thicker raised look. The focal image of the card was stamped on a Large Kraft Shipping tag and colored with Prismacolor pencils. Love the look of Prismas on kraft, but I haven't quite figured out how to do the skin coloring correctly.

For embellishments I include 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market and Victoria seam binding and button flower centers tied with Hang Tag String.

Number 3 guest designer card for my stint with The Outlawz Greeting Card challenge. This week our challenge is a recipe--2 papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 ribbon. Recipe challenges are a bit confusing for me at times cause I'm not sure just how literal you're suppose to interpret the ingredients. :-)
For my card I've used a Mo's Digital Pencil image that Mo offered as a freebie on her store blog a little while ago. It's called "Big Whoop!". Pretty fitting title huh. LOL She's colored with Copics and I've embellished the card with flowers, a bow, and that little trio of knotted ribbons. Lots of distressing and inking for a shabby feel. The BIG 2-1 !

Okay, I'm officially hooked on Saturated Canary! LOL If you are too, or even if you haven't tried these yet, make sure you check out my candy giveaway so you can get hooked too! Mwahahaha
Now I told you yesterday that my baby girl, my only child, was turning 21. I'm sure you can guess by the card what her favorite color is. :-) This is definitely an explosion in pink, but it's so her and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Of course the image is Saturated Canary. I couldn't resist putting a few in my basket when I was purchasing the gift certificate from Krista's store. Can't wait to color those up too!
I used Copics and a little bit of Prisma pencils. There's lots of gorgeous My Mind's Eye papers and a border die cut that I covered in chunky pink glitter. The top right corner looked a bit bare so I decided to do a little bit of lacing up there. Those little pink eyelets are one of the few finds I found at that scrapping clearance store I visited while in Florida.
You all know that I rarely finish insides, but I did on this one---and almost messed it up! When I signed it the pen didn't write evenly so I tried to trace back over my writing. Should have left it alone. grrrr

It's raining cats and dogs here so I imagine I'll be doing some crafting .....or sleeping! LOL

Winter birthday delivery

For this card I've used "Angelica's Sled" again. I went a little crazy with the distressing. LOL The little packages are a separate stamp that comes with the image. They're popped up on pop dots.
There are lots of winter birthdays out there and lots of people still getting snow so I decided to make this a birthday card. The image is colored with Copics and there's lots of Stickles snow. I cut the little tag with a Nestabilites die and then stamped on it with Versamark and embossed in white.

Butterfly, butterfly, fly away

It's butterflies galore for this week's challenge at Papercraft Star. Rilly recently added these gorgeous Flowers and Music images to The House Across the Bay shop and I thought they would make the perfect backdrop for my little flutterbys. Those little beauties came from another digi sheet called Nature Book Plates. I printed them out, cut them out, sprayed them with Glimmer Mist so they would sparkle, and then covered them with Glossy Accent. IRL they look like porcelain!
The card itself is a faux book card that measures 4.5" x 5.5". I hadn't made one in a while and it gave me the chance to use almost all the images from the first digi sheet. I printed them out, distressed the edges and inked them too. For the cover I created a little envelope pocket for one of the music sheets to fit into.

The inside cover is another musical sheet as well and so is the background of the faux page section. It's hard to see, but all the images are layered on top of a mat that's been edges with gold ink. I used the same ink on the faux pages to give them a gilded look.

Another one of the beautiful flower images covers the back of the card. The next pic is a close up for the front cover. I was trying to capture the porcelainized look of the butterflies but it didn't show up all that well. :-(

Everybody loves butterflies and I bet you've got a stamp, die, Cricut cartridge, or embellishment somewhere in your stash that would make a perfect butterfly entry for our challenge. Link 'em up and let us see.

The Sweetie in Red

Well, here it is. My first attempt at a Saturated Canary image. Whew! Talk about nerve wracking. I have one more of these and I might, just might, be brave enough to tackle it now. :-)

Our challenge this week at The Kraft Journal is "Color Me Red". Red is definitely NOT one of my favorite colors to use with Copics. You have to be very careful cause it's almost impossible to fix any boo boos.

I created my card using a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and used a sheet of my Basic Grey Picadilly pad. Now almost all of my cards measure 5.5 x 5.5 so most of the time I'm left with a 3/4" L-shaped scrap that hardly ever gets used. I was determined to use it on this card. LOL I cut each side in half and then attached them around the edge of my image panel. Then I used my trusty X-acto knife to miter the corners. Once they were trimmed I added the little black brads to anchor the "frame" and matted the panel with more Brown Kraft and black.

For embellishments I added a Scalloped Grungy Prim Tag stamped with "hi" and a Jenni Bowlin Chipboard Flag piece with a coordinating Flag Banner sticker stamped with the rest of the sentiment. For the flower I used my Retro Flower punches on some Vintage Dictionary pages, wrinkled them up and stacked them with a brad in the center. Last of all I tucked two Jenni Bowlin Garnet stickpins in behind the flower and tag.

The Rainbow Connection

Today starts a new challenge at The Outlawz Greeting Card Group and the theme is "Rainbow". I'll tell you just like I told Angela when I emailed her this card. This is NOT my best work, but my creativity took off at a run when I seriously started trying to put this card together. I did not have one rainbow anything in my stash. No ribbon, no paper, no image...NOTHING! That's when the panic set in and said mojo took off running like a squealing sissy boy!
The adorable little bear in rain gear is Bugaboo. The rainbow is actually a coloring page for kids that I found on the web. It had the perfect number of sections for ROYGBIV. :-) I printed the cloud out twice and used my embosser to round it. It's popped up on pop dots. For the center panel I used my Swiss Dots embossing folder and then used the same Copics to color the dots in rainbow colors.
I had most of the colors for the little acrylic gems at the bottom, but I had to color a couple of clear ones with Copics to match. I found the sentiments at Dee's Designs.
I bet everyone of you has at least one great rainbow card idea. The Outlawz girls would love to see what you've got.

Tammy has released some beautiful flower images this week at A Day For Daisies. The image I've used is snow bells and it's called "Bell Window". I broke out my distress inks for this one. The sentiment is from a challenge I just discovered called Word Art Wednesday. I thought the flowers would make a beautiful religious card.

Thinking of you Dorcas

This blog hop post is in honor of my sweet friend Dorcas. I think just about every household in America has at least one pet. Well, I also think you'd need more than your fingers and toes to count off Dorcas's menagerie. :-) Unfortunately, this past week she lost one of her furbabies, Gingerboy cat. Our pets are members of our families and losing Gingerboy has been pretty rough on Dorcas. I hope you've been enjoying the guest designer cards I've been creating for Inky Impressions. They really are great quality stamps. This card was made as inspiration for this week's challenge which is to "use two different ribbons or trims".
I've used some Basic Grey papers to backup "Rachel Ice Skating". She's such a cutie! I colored her with Copics and cut out the image with a Nestie. I used Tumbled Glass Distress ink on the edges. The sentiment comes with the stamp. The mitten charm can be found in the Inky Impressions store also.
I'm not sure if I like my corner treatment or not. It started with a chipboard piece I covered with Distress crackle paint then morphed into the little mix on the card.

A treasure box tutorial

It's tutorial time at The Kraft Journal and this go around I'm going to show you how to create a cute little gift box. I'll give you a link to where I got this idea at the end of the tute.

This first picture shows you the pattern you need to make the box. You'll need to cut two (2) of these. The dotted lines need to be scored and the solid lines need to be cut. I used Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock from Kraft Outlet.

Here's what each piece should like like after the scoring and cutting.

Flip your pattern up side down and place a mark at the 1 1/2" point on each of the 2" x 3" panels.

You'll want to score all four panels from that center point to the scored edge as seen in the photo below.

Before scoring these panels, use a decorative corner punch on the outer edges. I also used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes on either side of the scored point. Ribbon will be threaded through these later.

We're now ready to attach the two pattern pieces together. They need to be facing the same direction with the small attachment flap on the right. Butt the straight edge of one panel up against the scored edge of the flap and use strong adhesive to attach the two together.

This is what the two attached panels should look like once they've been connected and had designer paper and mats added. This is the inside of the card. Make sure you DO NOT glue down the last panel on the left completely. You will need to tuck the other connecting flap under the matting before it gets glued down. I've also added the mats and DP to the front side of the box at this point.

Time to start folding the box up. The bottom square on the left in the photo above will be the bottom of your box. The triangle next to it will be glued on top of that panel. The next square panel will be the bottom inside of your box. Place strong adhesive on it and fold it up out of the way. For the last triangle section place strong adhesive along ALL the edges so that the bottom square will be fully attached. Once you have all these glued together you can remove the adhesive covering from your last small flap on the side, adhere it and add some adhesive to the other half of the decorative mat. Taking your time to line the edges up will go a long way to making your box an even square.

You can add a decorative bottom to your box also. I cut a square measuring just under 3 3/4", used the corner punch on it also and trimmed in between the punches as shown on the bottom where the X-acto knife is.

Here's what the box looks like opened up with some 7 Gypsies Savannah seam binding seam binding threaded through the flaps.

And here's what it looks like closed up. I added a little Scalloped Grungy Prim Tag with the word love stamped on it and a Spellbinder Fleur De Lis medallion I cut in half.

Hope you liked the project. You can definitely resize this up to about a 4" x 4" box if you used 12" x 12" paper. I almost hate to give you the link for where I got this idea from because her project is just gorgeous and a lot more elaborate than mine. :-) I can always count on her for lots of inspiration--Marianne's Papirverden. She doesn't give any directions so this is strictly my trial and error instructions.

Hearts, hearts! We want to see hearts this week at Papercraft Star. LOL We kind of posted this weeks challenge a day early by accident so we're going to go ahead and post our DT cards early too. The link won't open until regular time tomorrow.
For my card I've used a freebie digi image by Karen MacfarlaneI got a while back from Cuddly Buddly. The blanket stitching on the image inspired me to go for a quilted look for the card. Lots of machine stitching and lots distressing on the edges for the well loved quilt look. :-) The image is done in Copics.

Some bunny loves you

Happy Tuesday! I hope this little guy makes you smile as much as he made me. Is he not adorable! Mr. Bunny is a freebie Tammy is offering over in the A Day For Daisies shop. When I saw him I knew I had to use him and I wanted to color him with Distress inks. So here he is on a Valentine tag. I actually made five of these for some special friends. I rarely make duplicates of anything, but it was so fun coloring him and putting the tags together that I had no problem making more than one.
The tag is a Ranger manilla tag like King Tim uses for the 12 Days of Christmas series. I stamped the "Love" image in Snow Cap Paint Dabber and heat set it. Then I inked it with Victorian Velvet and Spun Sugar DI and spritzed that with some water with Pearl Perfect Pearls mixed in. Next I lightly inked the edges with Vintage Photo and them used my Versamark pad to edge the tag. Tattered Rose Distress embossing powder was then added to the Versamark. After heat setting I reinked the edges with Walnut Stain. The foliage stamp is from Tim Holtz. I stamped it in Vintage Photo. Embellies include a lace bow, some seam binding colored with Glimmer Mist, a couple of buttons and twine, and my inked sentiment.
The tags were so much fun to make. I love getting out all the inks and powders. :-) Here's a close up of Mr. Bunny. Don't you just want to pinch his cheeks! LOL

I'm so excited to be guest designing at The Outlaws again! This time I get to work with the Design Team for the Greeting Card Challenge which includes Angela, Ann, anaRy, Chana, and Tina. Every Monday there's a new challenge and another chance to win some amazing monthly prizes from some great sponsors like Oozak and The Paper Temptress.
This week's challenge is "Anything Goes". How simple is that! You can make whatever you want just as long as it has a sentiment on the front. I've used this gorgeous Mo's Digital Pencil image I've been saving on the back burner. This is another one of those stamps I didn't want to just throw on any old card. It was going to have to be special. Since this is my hubby's Valentine card I'd say that's pretty special. :-) It's a very simple design, but I think the papers are just perfect for the vintage feel of the image.

Birthday flower frenzy

Okay kiddies, I definitely stepped out of my box for this one. Lots of bright colors and my first stab at the dot technique. It's Sassy Cheryl's 100th challenge and I wanted to play along with their celebration challenge so I broke out my Sassy Sally and drew from all the wonderful colors in the My Mind's Eye paper I used. I don't think I quite did the dot technique right, but it could have been worse. :-)
It's been quite a while since I've done any handmade flowers so it was fun to break out all those punches again and create the little flower cluster in the corner. They all started from white cardstock and then I used the Copics I'd colored the image with to make the flowers and leaves to match. There's some Stickles on them for the "shimmery" part of the challenge.
For the sentiment I printed it out on my computer, cut the letters apart and distressed the edges, glued those to the pink cardstock, and ditressed those edges too. It was fun just to play with all my tools and stuff for a just for fun card. Hope you like it. :-)

Okay, here's my second card using an image from today's A Day For Daisies release. This one is called "Puppy Love" and is probably about as close to clean and simple as you're going to see me get. LOL.
I picked up this pad of DCWV paper several months ago and this is the first time I've cut into it. Boy and pup are colored with Copics. I used the leftover hearts from a Martha Stewart edge punch to add the little floating hearts to match the image.

Tammy's got some new releases from A Day For Daisies just in time for Valentine's Day. I've made two cards from this release so make sure you check out my second post for today so you won't miss anything. :-)
For this card I've used some gorgeous Picadilly papers from Basic Grey to create the mat panels. I used my sewing machine and apparently didn't have it threaded correctly because the bottom tension was off and it caused the corners to pull down, but I think it looks kinda cool.
The image is called "My Best Boy" and I've colored it with Copic Markers and used some Distress inks on it and the sentiment.
This week starts a new challenge at the ADFD blog and we want to see hearts on your project somewhere. I ran across this little chipboard heart while looking for a larger one the other day and I thought it would be perfect on this card. I didn't want anything real big and I didn't want it to be bright red so I first inked it with Aged Mahogany Distress ink and then went over it with some red Perfect Pearls. I felt like the darker red kept more with the vintage feel of the card. I also sprayed the orange rose with some Glimmer Mist to tone down the orange for the same reason.
Don't ask me where the lemon/lime color scheme came from. I think my friend Dorcas is starting to rub off on me. LOL

There's a hole in my bucket dear Liza

I hope I'm not the only one out there who knows the hole in the bucket song. LOL We have a "Rustic" theme this week at Papercraft Star. I can't think of anything much more rustic than pumping water by hand into a bucket. This one looks like it's in pretty good shape. :-)
My card started with a base of kraft cardstock and then was matted with some K & Company papers. For the center panel I used my re-purchased Martha Stewart scallop punch (remember I broke the first one) to create two panels to lace together with some hemp cord over a piece of burlap.
The image is from Digi Doodle Shop and is colored with Copic markers. I did some distressing with scissors and inks.
Normally all of our designers use one or more images from our sponsor, The House Across the Bay, each week, but we've changed thing up a bit and now we're going to feature one of our DT members each week using the digis. Well get a load of these two! He stole that kiss before he ever gave her the flowers! LOL
Our theme this week at The Kraft Journal is "So Romantic". The big V-day is fast approaching so I'm sure you'll all have something you can join in the challenge with. Just make sure it has kraft paper of a Kraft Outlet product on it and your in like Flynn!
For my card I started with a base of Light Kraft Cover Weight cardstock. I matted with some Bazzill and some digital papers that were a gift from my buddy Jan. The image was colored with Copics and I tried my hand at the "outside the die cut" technique. It turned out pretty good. I don't think you can even tell where I had to cut in.
Anyway, the fish tail banner and sentiment are more of the light Kraft. I put some eyelets in the end of the sentiment and tied it to the smaller mat with some Red Baker's Twine.
For the inside of the card I added two mats and then trimmed a Small Glassine Bag with some postage stamp decorative edge scissors to make a tag pocket. I then wrapped some more red twine around the bag.

INSIDE OF CARD

The tag was cut from Light Kraft after I printed the cute little heart digi on it. It's colored with Copics too and highlighted with a white gel pen. The finishing touch was a small piece of red 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market seam binding tied through the tag top.

I was approached a while back by the the DT leader, Kendra, at Creative Inspiration Paints about a possible guest designer spot and boy did I jump at the chance. These little paint pots are awesome! If you've never tried them before you need to. Just a small amount goes a LONG way and the shimmer is just beautiful.

Creative Inspirations Paint has a great challenge blog, but that blog also has a great page on it that is filled with some of the coolest tutorials on all kinds of ways to use CIP. I found several I wanted to try out and used a couple on this card. The buttons were made using the Aged Button technique with Rose Quartz and that beautiful Sea Foam ruffle across the middle was created using the Crepe paper Ruffles technique.

I also added Citrus to the butterfly die cut and painted the flower portions of the image with Rose Quartz after I had colored it with Copics. There's a little of the Crackle Accents added to the bee wings which looks really cool close up.

A mermaid's bubble bath

Did you know that mermaids like bubbles? LOL Neither did I, but this little miss sure does. This image is called "Mermaids Love Bubbles" and is part of one of the freebie bundles you can add to your cart when you purchase $16.00 worth of digi stamps from the A Day For Daisies store. There are four different bundles to choose from.
It took me quite a while to decide which papers I was going to use, but when I ran across these My Mind's Eye scraps I couldn't pass them up because they look so much like bathroom tile patterns to me. LOL
I tried and tried, but there was no way to get the sparkle to show up in a photo. The image is colored with Copics, but I went over the mermaids hair with Gold Perfect Pearls and her body with Pearl Perfect Pearls. For the bubbles I got out my Sea Foam Creative Inspiration paint and used it to shade them. It all looks so cute and shimmery in real life. Wish you could see it. :-(

Today starts a new challenge at Inky Impressions and the theme is "I ♥ You" so we want to see some hearts used some way on your projects.
For my card I've used Angelica's Sled from the Inky Impressions Rubberstamps Store. I colored her with Copics and even tried a new technique. You see the spots on her scarf? I did that with my Colorless Blender and I love the way it looks. I'm probably the last person on earth to try this LOL so excuse my slowness. :-)
That cute little heart charm hanging from the twine can be found in the Inky Store too. I added some punched hearts with pearls and took the little hearts left over from the border punch, covered them in Stickles and added them on Angelica's sled.

A Victorian Valentine

I don't know about you, but I love ALL things from the British Isles and Ireland. I can't explain it although I guess it could be some of my Scottish and Irish genes calling me home. LOL The history, architecture, and landscapes just fascinate me, so this weeks "Victorian" theme at Papercraft Star was a fun one for me. It even spurred me on to dig out some MORE of those underused supplies and play. This little project is going to a very sweet friend of mine for Valentine's Day.
I've created a tag using a piece of chipboard as a sturdy base. My first layer is a piece of white that was edged with Tattered Rose Distress ink. Next comes a layer of Buff Ivory which I stamped using my Ornate Texture stamp with the Tattered Rose ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then added Old Paper and finally Tea Dye over the embossing. The edges were distressed with scissors.
The next layer is a postcard image from the Postcard Grunge digital sheet from The House Across the Bay. On top of that I layered one of the Jane Austen Fashion Show images from another THATB digital sheet. It was inked with Tea Dye and distressed with scissors also. There's a little lace under the edge of her and I added an Adage Ticket and Hinge clasp plus a couple of buttons tied with Kraft Outlet Hang Tag String.
I punched a hole in the tag with my Crop-a-dile and made my own reinforcements. There's some pink seam binding tied through the hole. The final element is my attempt at a technique I recently saw here. Her's came out much better (I didn't have the TH metal pieces), but it's still a cool effect. The metal flower has Tattered Rose and Antique Gold embossing powder melted on it for a faux enameled look.

It's "Tie It Up" time at The Kraft Journal this week. I won this fun little image a while back from Little Miss Muffet stamps and thought it would make a fun kid's birthday card. Since the balloon strings fit right in with the challenge this week, I took the idea and ran with it. Like you couldn't tell. LOL Have you ever seen so many bows on a card! :-)
The card base is Brown Kraft cardstock. I used some colorful My Mind's Eye papers to back the image which is colored with Copics. It's also 3-D although it's kind of hard to see in the pic. The balloons and the monkey's bow and feet are all popped up a bit on some Zots (another one of those zillion craft supplies I haven't touched in a while that I'm trying to use up).
For the banner I attached some DP to Jenni Bowlin Chipboard Banner pieces and "strung" them onto some Hang Tag String. I punched some flowers and used and embosser to give the petals some shape. I put a pop dot in the center indention so the button would be raised up a bit and not smash the flower back down. I used Red, Blue, Baby Blue and Green Baker's Twine to tie bows through the button holes.

A day at the beach

Oh how I wish, wish, WISH I had the photographic skills of my friend Linda Robinson! sigh............... Although my little Sony camera takes really good pictures I think I need something a little more high tech for the kind of photography Linda gets. Her close up shots of everything from flowers to hummingbirds is just astounding.

So unfortunately you'll have to view my little vaca pics with the understanding that I am no great photographer. Maybe you can at least get a little glimpse of the beauty hubby and I saw along the shoreline of Navarre, Florida. The weather was a bit overcast which didn't help with picture taking either, but it was a beautiful day anyway.

If you look real closely about a third of the way out in front of the pier from the right, there's a surfer out there. There were several out that day. The waves weren't overly huge, but they seemed to be having fun anyway.

Here's a couple of shots of the shells we scavenged through. Maybe I'll share some photos of our small haul once I get them cleaned up.

As the day passed on the wave action got a little rougher and they almost caught us a couple of times.
There were a few other people out and about, but for the most part our companions were these fellows and some seagulls of course. One of the little fellows came by after this picture was taken and he only had one leg. It didn't slow him down the least little bit. We also saw a couple of seagulls in the same shape. We assumed they lost their limbs to a shark or some other fish out in the ocean.

Traveling back home we visited the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. The air station there is the home of the Blue Angels and I would love to have gotten to watch one of their practices, but apparently it's a bit early in the year for them to fly. We did get to view a lot of very interesting aircraft in the museum and learn a few new history facts.
All in all we had a wonderful trip and got to spend lots of quality time together. I appreciate it more and more as the years go by.

It's inspiration day at the Inky Impressions Inspiration blog and I have a card for you using "Ice Skating Rachel". I've colored her with Copic markers. I cut her out and popped her up on pop dots. The card is made with My Mind's Eye Portabello Road papers. I was in the mood to play with embossing powder again so the edges of the large mat and two smaller ones are all edged in white embossing powder for a frosty look. I created a little flower spray with some punched flowers, pearls, and a die cut flourish.

Twinkle, twinkle little star

About a week ago I was approached by Tui, the Guest Designer Coordinator at Our Creative Corner. If you'll remember back at Christmas time I made that card with the little deer on it and the trees made from the flower punches. I won their Top Talent award for that card and they have asked me to do a guest designer spot for them this week. I LOVE to do guest spots. They throw a little something different in the weekly routine plus they're an excuse to make another card! LOL

Here's the gorgeous inspiration photo they have chosen for this weeks challenge.

There's also an optional "baby" theme and I opted to go with that for my card. That striking pink really stands out in the photo but the image I chose looked too much like a boy to use the pink so I used the soft blues and yellows, a little chocolate brown and added a little sparkle and glimmer with glittery embossing powder and the crystal drops to bring in all the glassware.

The image is a Pollycraft digi that I won last month over at The Outlaws. It was in a mega package of fifty stamps so I still have lots of new stamps to play with in the future. The image is colored with Copics. I added some chipboard stars covered in some Copic paper scraps that were embossed with Stardust embossing powder. The little stars on the image were also embossed. They're just on paper though and have two coats of embossing powder.

I'm sure the DT at OCC would love to have you come join in their fun this week. A huge thank you to them for inviting me to play along.

Growing in a Snow Globe

Isn't this little fairy just gorgeous! She's one of the new releases this week from A Day For Daisies. I was happy with the image, but not the card itself. It just needed more and I couldn't figure out what more was. LOL Of course that could be because I've been a bit distracted this week thinking about the little getaway my hubby planned for us. Our anniversary was at the end of December, but we rarely go anywhere then because so many things are closed between the holidays. So as you read this I will probably be strolling along the sugar sand beaches of Florida. sigh..............
uh huh huh huh Back to the card! :-) The image is colored with Copics. Today starts a new challenge at ADFD where we want to see glitter on your projects. I've used Stickles on her skirt, wings and the flowers in her head dress. I also put 1/2" strips of Sookwang on the card itself and after removing the protective strip added very fine glitter.

A friendly celebration

This card was made using another of the images from the January Club Kit from A Day For Daisies. The image is called "Birdie Bride" and I've colored her and her little friends with Copics. I think she makes a cute birthday card too. Although I'm pretty happy with the image itself, I'm on the fence about the design. I tried using paper with a little bolder colors than I usually do and that seems to affect my ability to put a card together for some reason. I lean more towards the muted colors usually and am pretty comfortable there, kind of like those old wore out sweats that you just can't give up no matter how ratty they are. Comfort is comfort. :-) It could have been worse I suppose. LOL

A little Donna Karan?????

Did you ever start a card with a plan and the end result was nothing like what you envisioned? LOL This card is case in point. The basic sketch design is the same, but the punchwork and the frame are not how they started out. Papercraft Star's challenge this week is to use a "Frame" on your project. Originally I cut a circle chipboard piece about half the width of this one and wrapped it in white satin ribbon. That white just wouldn't work for me and I didn't have any other color that wasn't just going to overtake the card. I tried using some Glimmer Mist, but that idea bombed. So I cut a larger circle and covered it in Rock Candy Crackle paint to frame the cute little girl who's sewing. That image is called "Sewing Girl Tags (163)" and is a digital download from our sponsor, The House Across the Bay. I think that plain old piece of chipboard made a pretty cool frame. :-) Oh and the punchwork...came out of nowhere! LOL

Hello Doily???

     It's "Stamp It Pretty" this week at The Kraft Journal. I used a card base of Brown Kraft cardstock and layered panels of Light Kraft cardstock matted with black onto the base. The panels were stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I just love these doily stamps from My Mind's Eye. (Geri, they make me think of you every time I use them). After I embossed, I traced the outlines of the doilies with a grey Copic marker. My friend Dana had this idea pinned to her Pinterest page. It's from Nicole Heady. I embellished the card with two 7 Gypsies Mini Receipts Mini Ephemera Labels, a Small Glassine bag and a sentiment stamped on more Light Kraft. The finishing touches are a 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market seam binding bow with two Jenni Bowlin Garnet stickpins and a large button tied with Hang Tag string (Audrey Petit style).   I'm so glad I have so many talented friends to get inspiration from! LOL

(If you think I've forgotten you because I haven't been to your blog lately, that's not the case. There seems to be another issue with Blogger and although I tried I was unable to leave a comment at many of the blogs I tried to visit. I've visited, just left no tracks. :-)

(edit: one of my wonderful followers suggested that i switch to Chrome[yes I'm way behind the times] and it totally solved the commenting problem. YAY!)

Well, I've been at it with the Prismas again. LOL I can see it's going to take me a while to get the hang of shading with them. :-) Dorcas!!! I need your know how. LOL I used Bristol paper on this card instead of the kraft I've used before.

The adorable image is from the new ADFD release this week and it's called "Book Buddies" and can be found in the ADFD store.

I broke out a brand new October Afternoon 5 and Dime paper pad I'd bought a little while ago and used an old CLP sketch. I've been trying to really dig into my mountain of stash and use it up. Just staring at it and saying "Oh how pretty!" just doesn't cut the mustard anymore. I'm running out of room and when I think of all the money I spent...ugh--butterflies in the stomach. So it's going to get used up one way or another. I've had a jar of mixed Prima flowers sitting on my shelf since I first started scrapping and hardly ever use anything from it so I pulled it out and grabbed a mix of colors to put on this card.

Pretty Pretty Princess

     Well, what do you think? Is that royal attitude she's sporting? LOL This little cutie is one of the images included in this months Club kit from A Day For Daisies. It's called "I Am a Princess" and I guess that says it all doesn't it! :-) I think she has a bit of a Tim Burtonesque look to her. I think it's the big eyes.
     I may have gone a little pearl happy on this one ya think? LOL She colored with Copics and the papers are all My Mind's Eye. The little "Happy Birthday" banner was printed on vellum and hand cut. The "Princess" is actually part of the DP. Worked out perfectly!

This is my first GD card post for the challenges at Inky Impressions. You've seen one I posted for their inspiration blog and you'll see a second one posted here and at the challenge blog today for their blog hop. The Inky Impressions Challenge this week is "Red, White, and Pink". The image I've used is called "Lili's Cleaning Day" and I've used it to make a new years card of a sort. I had a list a mile long of things I was going to try to do better at this year. LOL Am I doing them all--nah. :-) , but I'm trying real hard to do some of them, and no, vacuuming was not one of them. LOL

Lili's colored with Copics and the papers are My Mind's Eye. I pulled out the sewing machine again and did some zig zag stitching that looks fairly decent.

Love that lacing!

I have a Kraft Journal tutorial for you today that's easy peasy. I love the look of laced panels on cards and scrapbook pages and have used that technique several times in the past. Recently I read a post on one of the scrapper blogs I subscribed to called Gerrys Scrappy Life (the link will take you straight to her tutorial). In the past I used an eyelet setter and eyelets to create the holes for the lacing, but she showed how to do it with edge punches. They're a lot easier on the hands and more even than the hand done way.
All you need is an edge punch that will work for the lacing and some designer paper or cardstock. I've used some Brown Kraft and Buff Ivory cardstocks so you can see the details easily. I can't really give you any measurements because it will depend upon the size of your project and the width you decide you want between the panel edges.

For this card I cut a panel of the Brown kraft 5.5" x 11" and punched one short edge. I trimmed it off at about 1.25" so I'd have some play room. It was trimmed smaller later. Taking the larger leftover pieces of Brown kraft I repeated the punched edge. After that it's just a matter of figuring how much to trim off your pieces.

You will get different looks depending upon what type of edge punch you use. I was going to use the same one Gerry used in her tutorial but broke the punch. grrrrrrrrr

Anyway, here's what the finished card looks like with the panels laced with some Earthy hemp cord and a Scalloped Grungy Prim tag sentiment.

I don't know about where you live, but here on the coast our weather just can't make up it's mind what it wants to do. Freezing one day, hot the next. Everybody's getting colds from the back and forth and you never know how to dress. Craziness! :-)

Our Papercraft Star challenge this week is "Warmth". This may sound crazy for someone who lives in the boiling hot south, but I love to be bundled up. I'm very cold natured which unfortunately is the polar opposite of my hubby. I really believe his thermosat is broken. LOL

So, for my card (since I like to bundle), I've used a cute image from Phindy's Place and colored it with Copics. Both tags come from the Grunge Tags (048) digital sheet from our sponsor, The House Across the Bay. I printed them out on cardstock and stamped the sentiment on the smaller one.

Goin' downhill

     This card marks my first project as a guest designer for Inky Impressions Stamps. I'll be guesting for them for the months of January and February. They have a challenge blog and an inspiration blog and I'll be posting cards on both.
     The company belongs to Nicole Mokshefsky and she stocks her rubberstamps, paper, and embellishments. This image is one of a few digital ones she offers and is called "MaMaw Skiing". Like the sledders that I posted a few days ago, this is another winter past time I have never tried. The bodily harm index would probably go up even higher on this one. I can just picture myself wrapped around a tree. LOL MaMaw, however, looks totally capable of conquering the slopes.  I just couldn't resist matching her up with a wise crack sentiment. :-)
     Anyway, MaMaw was colored with Copics. There's a little machine stitching and some scrunched up seam binding for enbellishments. That little snowflake charm also comes from Inky Impressions. Nicole has tons of different kinds of charms in the store so go check out all the goodies.
     I'll be back with two cards for Inky on Wednesday. One is for the weekly challenge and the other is for the Inky Impressions new release blog hop. There are some great rubberstamps up for prizes so don't miss out. These stamps are great quality deep rubber for those wonderful clean crisp stamped images.

Magic Unicorn Wishes

     Now those of you who have been with me for a while know that I don't do too much fantasy image stuff, but my goodness, this unicorn is just gorgeous! He's part of the new release at A Day For Daisies this week and I loved coloring him although he scared me to death. I didn't want to make him look like something on one of those velvet posters. LOL This new release coincides with the start of the new challenge at ADFD which is pastels so that helped me to go in the direction of a soft look for Magic. That's the name of the stamp in case you were wondering.
     The designer papers are from Prima and were a gift from my wonderful friend Jan. The design comes from this months CLP sketch. I used some Perfect Pearls mixed with water in a mister for the circles. They're nice and shimmery so they match the stars I cut from chipboard and cardstock and covered with Stickles. Some bling, some pearls, a little cheesecloth, a bow, and a metal tag round out the embellies.
     There was only one down side to this card. See that punch work at the bottom? That's from a brand new MS punch I just bought---and broke---on this card---the first time I used it. ARRGGHH! My fault for trying to punch too much paper at one time.

I can't even begin to count the number of times I've played a card at Do You Stack Up, but I can tell you one of the reasons I keep playing there is that the DT is wonderful. They leave the sweetest comments and I never have to wonder if anyone from their team has even visited my blog to look at my card. So it's with honor this week that I am able to be a part of the DYSU design team as their guest. :-)

Their theme this week is "Let It Snow" and I was given this cute little "Snow Wagon" image from Robyn's Fetish, this week's sponsor.

I started with a base of light kraft cardstock that I stamped and embossed some snowflakes on. I also inked the edges with my Snow Cap dabber. The big snowflake was cut from glittered paper. My Cricut kept tearing it so I ended up cutting it out of regular cardstock, tracing it onto the glitter card, and cutting it out by hand. I layered the image on top of it. The little wagon full of snow was colored with Prismas and OMS and I added a little glitter too.

Ride like the wind

You snowbirds have probably tried this winter joy ride, but I have to believe I would do some serious bodily harm if I ever tried it. LOL "Winter" is our theme this week at Papercraft Star. My card uses an adorable Toby Tumble image from Cuddly Buddly that I colored with Copics. The designer papers are My Mind's Eye. The darker colored mat is a digital image from the "Feeling Blue" (053) digital sheet from The House Across the Bay. It looks really dark in the photo, but it's actually lighter and a bit more turquoise tinted IRL.

I went a little embossing crazy on this one. I hadn't done much wet embossing in a while and I was having so much fun just about everything got embossed. LOL The polka dot mat, digital image mat, image, and sentiment all had their edges embossed. The grey panel was embossed all over with snowflakes. I also used some Snow Cap paint dabber on the grey and digital mats.

There's a little lace and some pearls. The snowflakes are buttons that I cut the shanks off of.

Whew! This has been one busy week. Getting back into the swing of things after the holidays got put on the fast track with a couple of extra Guest Designer projects. You'll see one tomorrow that I did for Do You Stack Up Challenge. Friday is A Day For Daisy new release day and I can only hope I can do justice to the amazing image I picked to use this week. It's unlike anything I've ever worked with before so it will be quite a challenge for me to get it right. Then on Saturday you'll see the first of my two month guest designer cards for Inky Impression Stamps. I think I smell smoke and it just might be coming from all those wheels spinning in my head with design ideas for all these cards. LOL My commenting might be a little lacking this week so please forgive me.

Have you guys noticed I've been into tags lately? What's up with that! LOL You've got me. I just know I've been having fun. "Anything Goes" is our theme this week at The Kraft Journal. You might notice a couple of changes there. We have said good bye to a couple of our beloved members, Audrey Petit and Kim Duran and are saying hello to our new members, Debbie Carriere and Debbie Marcinkiewicz. I just know you're going to love what they have to bring to the table so make sure you check out todays post at TKJ. PLUS! We have a very special guest designer this month (starting next week), my bloggie buddy Dorcas of Dorcas Designs. This girl is the queen of using Prisma's on kraft paper. In fact, I should probably have picked another medium to use until next month so I don't look so bad. LOL

So.... I decided to create a fun nostalgic tag using a Buff French "Carte Postale" Postcard Shipping Tag as my base. I used the Tim Holtz rusted enamel technique using Old Paper and Vintage Photo Distress inks on the postcard and then added some Vintage Dictionary page pieces. The marquee was created with a die cut piece of chipboard that was inked, embossed, and glitzed with rhinestones. The marquee frames a 7 Gypsies Mini Receipts Ephemera Label and has a piece of Tim Holtz film strip ribbon stapled to it. The stars were cut from chipboard and Kraft Glassine. The glassine was inked with gold alcohol ink. The watch image is a 7 Gypsies rub on from Steampunk Time Rubbings. There's a bottle cap sticker from the Lost and Found Salvage Stickers and some black Twill Tape. I just love this Charlie Chaplin image from Mo's Digital Pencil. It's colored with Prismas and was printed on Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock multiple times, layered, inked, and covered with a coat of Rock Candy Crackle paint. I should have taken a picture of my table after this was made. LOL Everything but the kitchen sink was piled up on it.

Easy peasy anything goes challenge so pull out that kraft paper or Kraft Outlet products and join in the fun to start the new year off.

I was telling my friend Samara that I think I have done myself in with all the holiday yummies. I think the up and down sugar buzzes have zapped my crafting energy. Good thing I made this ahead of time. LOL

Our challenge this week at Papercraft Star is "Tea or Coffee". I won some digis a while back from Cardmadfairy and I picked out this beautiful geisha. She's colored with Copics. I printed her fan out on vellum and colored it with Copics also. She has a piece of torn mulberry paper under her. The cool oriental writing is one of three images I used from the Oriental Backgrounds (112) digital sheet from our sponsor, The House Across the Bay. I didn't have anything to hang the tag from in my light box so I hung it on my Christmas tree so you could see the tassle I added at the bottom. You have to look closely cause it didn't photograph well with the lighting.

The back of the tag has a large mat of more of the oriental writing from the digital sheet. I added two pockets for tea bags and printed the third image to decorate the top pocket.

Try something new

Our challenge at The Kraft Journal, this day after Christmas, is to try something new for the new year. Although I've made tags before, it's been a while since I've made one and I decided to throw everything but the kitchen sink onto it.

The tag base is Buff Ivory cardstock. The next layer is Light Kraft cardstock. I glued some pieces of Vintage Dictionary page on it. Then I stamped it with a musical score which I embossed with Vintage Distress embossing powder. next I added some Distress ink.

The next layer is a piece of Kraft Glassine from Tim Holtz. Babette was carrying the large pockets at Kraft Outlet at one time. I cut the pocket apart, dry embossed it and added some white ink over the raised parts. I also went around the edges of it with a white Paint Dabber.

My image is a rubberstamp from the Gorjuss Girls line that I colored with Copics. I stamped the little bear twice and raised him up on pop dots. Here's a closer view.

     For embellishments I added a flower made with pieces of the kraft glassine cut from Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die. The edges have some white Puffy paint on them. I had wrote a sentiment on a White Metal Edge Grunge Tag and inked it with Vintage Photo Distress ink. There's a band of 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market seam binding in red wrapped around the upper part of the tag and a Jenni Bowlin Chipboard Flag piece covered in Buff Ivory cardstock and inked at the bottom. I added some fun eyelash fiber through an eyelet at the top of the tag and everything but the image was sprayed with Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist.
     The Kraft Glassine is a new product for me and I look forward to using it again. It was fun to try some of the ideas Tim Holtz gave for it's use on his blog.

Sewing seeds of kindness

Hope you've all been able to slow down long enough to enjoy the holiday a little. LOL The little sweetie on this card took some time to do a little sewing. The image is called "Sewing a Stitch" and is from the new release this week from A Day For Daisies and you can find it along with lots of others in the ADFD store.

I decided to try my hand at a little paper piecing. I don't do much of this, but I always like it when I see others do it. Lots of stitching and a quilted look to the background. My daughter made the beautiful crocheted flower for me.

I have to admit I was a bit burnt out on Christmas projects so I really enjoyed making this card. Now I'm ready to enjoy the holiday weekend with my family. Hope you are too. :-)

Ho Ho Moolah!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Only a few more days until we officially celebrate Christmas. As the birthday of Christ, we can happily celebrate Christmas EVERY day of the year. :-) He was the greatest gift of all after all.

With the thought of gift giving in mind, our challenge this week at Papercraft Star is to create a tag or gift holder. I used a wonderful tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers to create this fun and festive gift card holder.

The Santa image is from the Christmas Squares (055) digital image sheet from The House Across the Bay. I printed the image out, cut it out with a circle punch and covered it with a thick coat of Glossy Acents. While that was still wet I sprinkled a small amount of glitter on the image. Once the GA was dry, I added a second coat. The photo paper wanted to curl up and when I bent it the Glossy Accents cracked. It added a great little extra to the vintage feel of the card. I added some netting circles folded into quarters on the back of the image piece. The card stays closed with an old fashion envelope closure on the back.

Here's what the inside looks like.

I didn't have the little envelope that comes with the gift card like they used in the tutorial so I just made my own. Super simple card and a fun way to give some Christmas moolah. :-)

My favorite 2011 Kraft Journal project

This week the The Kraft Journal DT is showcasing their favorite KJ projects from the past year. One of the projects I enjoyed making the most this year was my Valentine Book of Love. You can find the original post for it right here, but here are a couple of pics from it.

Frosty Builders

I have another A Day For Daisies digital stamp to share with you today. This one, called Frosty, is from the December Club Kit. You can find all the details about the kit club here and I have ADFD gift certificates in my blog candy giveaway. :-)

For my card I used some leftover Graphic 45 Christmas papers and did some machine stitching. The image was colored with Distress inks. The ribbon slider was cut with my brand new Memory Box die. It was one of my purchases from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design with the gift voucher I won last month at The Outlawz. Susana gave me some awesome service with a quick delivery, even during the holidays! Anyway, the die is gorgeous and delicate and makes the ribbon poof up in the middle for a fun look. I see future Memory Box die purchase in the cards for me. :-)

I have a couple of other things to share with you. A few months back I created a little mini abum to showcase some of my favorite glass collectibles. One of the things I make sure to do when we visit Gatlinburg is hit some of the shops there that specialize in glass. I also found one at Dollywood. Here are my new lovelies.

Is that cow hilarious or what! As you can see I love miniature tea sets too. :-)

Just a Swingin'

Say hello to Finn. Finn's just swingin' around on a sparkly Christmas ornament waiting for Santa to come. This week at Papercraft Star we want to see a project that includes a bell or ornament.

Finn is a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil. He's colored with Copics. I stamped him twice and popped the second image up on foam dots for some depth. I wanted him to look like he was sitting on top of the ornament. I also added some DMC gold fiber thread for the ornament hanger and stitched it through the paper and between his hands. I used some ruched crepe paper that was cut with pinking shears to frame the image and a strip of corrugated cardboard that I distressed with some crackle paint.

The red and gold mat image is a digital download from our sponsor, The House Across the Bay, called Scrollwork Squares. Nice and Christmasy!

Another Christmas card for the stack. :-) This one was made using this cute gingerbread man from Make It Crafty who thinks he's Fred Astaire. (What do you think Ira? LOL) He's got some dimensional paint icing on to snaz him up a bit. :-)

He's colored with Copics and I used some papers from a K & Company paper pad I picked up at Michael's last week when it was marked down to 60% off. I had a tough time with Christmas papers this year. There just wasn't a whole lot out there that really caught my eye. I don't like to buy too many 12 x 12 pads anymore because I like the smaller scaled down print of the 6 x 6's, but there was some really great smaller designs paper in this pad and I couldn't beat the price.

I tried and tried to find a way to photograph my card so that the deep green ribbon behind the image looked green, but it absolutely refused to look like anything but black. All my dark colored ribbons always look black in my pics. sigh....

I found some chipboard photo corners in my stash,covered them with some of the Light Kraft I used for the card base and inked the edges.

Ornament in pastel

     My head cold has made me totally goofy. I was going to play along with the new Copic challenge at The Outlawz. Their theme is a non traditional colors Christmas card. So I get my card all done and ready to photograph and DING! the little light bulb goes off that I colored the image with distress inks. LOL Oh well, I needed the card anyway and it will fit with the Twisted Thursday Challenge at TO which is to either include an ornament on your card or make one.
     I embossed the edges of the blue mat with some Stardust embossing powder. It's transparent with sparklie in it. Then I went around the edges again with a Brilliance Platinum Planet dew drop. That ink dries really slowly so I hit it with my heat gun. The thicker parts bubbled up and added some cool dimension.
     I embossed the purple panel with the same embossing powder. The edged the image with more of the Platinum ink. Besides the distress ink, I used some dimensional paint on the ornament and the berries.
The flowers are from TH Tattered Florals die. I added Glossy Accents to some silver brads and covered them with silver microbeads for the flower centers.

Let's play paper dolls

It's new release Friday at A Day for Daisies and I picked this adorable paper doll set to use for my project this week. Isn't she sweet! I loved to play with paper dolls when I was a kid and they're as rare as hens teeth nowadays. So sad that all the good old toys have fallen by the wayside. :-(

The image is called "Lily Paper Piecing Doll" and can be found at the ADFD store. I printed her out on Copic Xpress-it Blending card and her clothing on Gina K Designs Pure Luxury. I like the Copic paper better for blending, but the Gina K is a little thicker and I wanted her clothing to be as sturdy as possible.

I had acutally put another project using Lily into progress, but had to back track and go a different direction. I ran into the same problem with the smaller project regardless--how to made her clothes attachable. I ended up using some little Basic Grey magnets and they work, although their hold is not as strong through a layer of paper as it would be surface to surface. I just didn't want to put magnets on the front of her body. So they are on the back of her and on the back of the clothing. There are also magnets sandwiched in between the paper layers on the front and inside of the card so that she and her wardrobe can be "attached" to the card.

I thought the Basic Grey papers went really well with this "vintage" toy. Here's a shot of the inside of the card showing her other two dresses and Lily in her proper undergarments. :-)

Light My Way

I was lucky enough to win this beautiful stamp a while back on the AMAZING Bev Rochester's blog. Her work with Lili of the Valley stamps is out of this world gorgeous.

When I saw that the new challenge for the Color challenge group at The Outlawz was silver, white and celestial blue, this stamp was the first thought that popped in my head. So I dug it out for its initial inking and I was off. This is another for fun card. Actually, its another "I need more Christmas cards!" card. LOL

The base is a pretty Bazzill color called Whirlpool. The mat is plain white cardstock that I ran through the Textile embossing folder. The DP's are from MME and the image is done in Distress inks. I couldn't get the card to photograph too well. My light box was reflecting everything off all of that shiny silver and it made her dress looked more washed out than it is. The stars are done in glitter and her wings are covered in Diamond Stickles.

The Whole Shebang

It's Wednesday again and that means it's time for a new challenge at Papercraft Star. This weeks challenge is to use a Christmas tree on your project. Well when I saw this great Santa image at THATB I knew he was it. He not only has a tree, but presents, and I think even some decorations! Thus "The Whole Shebang"! LOL

The base of the card is kraft and I just added some DP, grosgrain ribbon, a wood button tied with some hemp cord, and another of those fish tail shape sentiments I've been lovin' to use lately.
