Heartfelt Hugs

     YAY!  It's Thursday and time for another challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil.  The theme this week is "Straight from the heart".  My pup has been on my mind a lot lately.  She's almost fourteen years old and arthritis has all but crippled the poor girl.  You could easily insert a picture of anybody in my family including my parents and uncle for Bella in this image.  That's how loved my Gwennie is.  Smart as a whip and full of personality, she just steals the heart of anyone who meets her.
     For my card I decided I wanted to have a chevron panel behind my image so I started surfing for a tutorial on how to make your own chevron paper.  I found several, but the one I chose to use is a super simple one from Jennifer McGuire.  You can find it here.  This allowed me to use the papers from the collection to match.  I layered the finished piece on two layers of thin chipboard to give it some height and dimension.  I tried hitting the embossed dots on my banner pieces with a white ink pad, but you could barely see the white so I ended up going over them with a white gel pen.
