The happy tree

This was my house yesterday--the happy tree.  Why was it happy?  Because I had a house full of wonderful friends all day long.  If you read my post yesterday you know that I was supposed to have my little 6 year old sweetie for the day, well the whole family plus some ended up staying from about 10:30 to after 9:00.  Now I have to be honest and say my intended visitor was not very happy about having her Mrs. Tracy Day interrupted with extra visitors LOL, but it all worked out wonderfully otherwise, and yes Sharron, when she comes over we DEFINITELY craft together.  :-)  She loves to raid my punches.  LOL
Tammy is doing another re-release for A Day For Daisies this week of some fun tree images while she irons out some wrinkles in her store makeover.  I chose to use the "Happy Tree" image on kraft and color with Prismacolor pencils.  This image is on sale for 50% off this week by the way.  :-)
I'm not overly proficient with my pencils but this time I tried to stick to blending with them instead of using the odorless mineral spirits to blend.  I like the effect I got.  It's kind of hard to see but I outlined the kraft die cut in gold gel pen.  I have a drawer full of funky trims from my scrapbooking endeavors and I found this great blue fancy yarn to use for my tag pull.
It's pretty CAS but I needed something to use in my Bible that wasn't real bulky.  If you'd like to play along with our new challenge we're looking for "Anything but a card" projects.  You can find all Tammy's great images in the ADFD store and you can find the challenge on the ADFD blog.
     Happy Friday!

I'm so glad to see that you & your little sweetie do craft together. Nothing like it & it makes for wonderful memories. I'm sure she eventually got over her disappointment about having to share you with her family...lol. You'll just have to make it up to her another time.
Have a FABulous weekend, GF! My son & dil are coming over tomorrow to go swimming before they head 2 hours north of us to settle into their new home. waa waa waa
