Tippy toes

Hello my friends.  Hope your week is going well.  I've been rather down in the dumps myself.  Just kind of blah and definitely unable to find card making mojo.  sigh....     I've already tried to make a card with Odette a couple of weeks ago and just couldn't get it to come together.  She's so precious, but I just can't seem to design a card worthy of her.  This is what I came up with for our "Ribbons and/or bows" challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil.
First off the pink ribbon is NOT that bright in real life.  It's really shiny though so the camera just exaggerates it.  I created a frame for Miss Odette with a couple of layers of chipboard that I painted with Picket Fence Crackle paint.  After drying it was inked with Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, and Walnut stain.  I did the same on the corner deco.  I used some embroidery thread to sew over the edges of the frame and then added brads where the ribbon tabs slide under it.  For the butterflies I used a Vintage Photo Distress marker to go around all the edges and cutouts for some definition.
I've got tons of DT projects stacking up and little motivation so it's probably going to be rough around here for a while til I get back on track.  Hope your craftiness it revved up and ready to go.  Grab a Mo image and some ribbon and come join in this weeks challenge for your chance at a $5.00 Mo's gift voucher.  Lots of new images in the store.  :-)
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Flutterby Wednesday's--anything goes with a butterfly or fairy
The Paper Shelter--anything goes
Simon Says Stamp--anything goes
Whimsy Inspirations--anything goes
Clear It Out--for a child (everything's old except the image)

Jackson's Digital Expressions--pink or breast cancer

     Have a great Thursday!

  17. No, I'm totally not up to par! LOL..You can't believe how relieved I was to read someone else was in the same boat. Not that I'd want you there, but sometimes, misery does love company..Hahaha! Think it might be the weather? My head feels like someone is using it for a bongo drum. If I see your mojo or you mine, pinky promise to send it back where it belongs. Your card is precious Tracy...looking at her makes me want to squeeze my kids!

  35. This came out beautiful, Tracy! I totally get how youre feeling though. Ive stepped down from all my teams but one and I still cant seem to get my act together. Just not FEELING it; and when you don't FEEL it you cant "make it happen". At least I cant. Its a little frightening, especially if you have commitments.. I have to say when I see all the work youre having to churn out I feel a little anxious for you, cos Ive been there, done that and at the time youre having so much fun you think it will never end and then one morning you wake up and *poof* mojo is gone. And there you sit nursing a pile of deadlines and a stack of paper with not a single idea in your head wondering where and when it all flew away...
Sorry to get sidetracked...I guess you can tel I'm in the same boat but perhaps I'm sitting a little lower in the water than you lol, sorry if Im being depressing.
your card is stunning, your coloring just gets beyond perfection.Well done, gf!!
