Pumpkin Kitty

Today I have a card to share with you from Whimsy and Stars Studio.  This is Mabelle's adorable "Pumpkin Kitty".  I can't say my mojo has been working very well for me lately.  Think I'm suffering a bit of burnout so this is a pretty CAS card....again.  Are you wondering like me if my love of frou frou well stir back to life?  It may sound strange, but the CAS cards are harder for me than the more elaborate ones.  The CAS (to me anyway) seem to require a more concentrated effort to really make your coloring stand out since the image is the real focal point of the card.  That's a good thing in that it encourages me to sharpen my coloring skills, but it's tough in that it really makes you have to make the most of the few design elements you pair it with.  Ah well--growth isn't a bad thing is it?  LOL
     Have a happy Wednesday!

  5. Tracy, I'm loving the CAS you! To me the image should be the most important part of the card...some people put so much STUFF on the card the image is totally lost! By the way, if I had your coloring skills I'd throw mine away!! LOL

  12. I have to be honest with you Tracy, I love your CAS style. Very few people can pull a card with just one or two DP papers and make it look great the way you do. Of course, the way you color an image has a lot to do with it too. I say keep them coming, you are an inspiration for someone like me, a beginner who is still struggling with finding her style.

I just love this card and the pumpkin card too. I do not think you have lost any mojo - I think the internet has been saturated with all the flowers, plus all the other embellishments that I think that feels old and at times not appealing to reach out to for my cards. I find myself leaning more and more towards the CAS and yes they are harder to spice up. But you do it effortlessly and make it look absolutely beautiful. Big Hugs

  16. Aww, how cute! Great coloring, Tracy (love the stippling) and I really like the buttons (with those little string bows) which look perfect on the kraft banners!
    Hugs, Anja

PS: I recognize the DP from the same paper pad that you've mentioned in your comment on my last card. Love the saying "Great minds think alike!"
In German there's another one: "Two fools, one idea!" – means the same, but isn't as charming ;o)
