Last Sunday we had a baby dedication at our church for two of our newest little members. Some of you might remember my tale of Boudreaux Goss, well rest assured that I don't believe the little sweetheart has been called that one time since he was born. So far he's the total opposite in personality of the little biker babe I used on a card for him. However, our preacher believes he has a certain twinkle in his eye that warns he is going to probably keep his daddy on his toes. LOL For his Christmas card I chose the "First Christmas" image found here in Mo's store. He's colored with Copics and outlined in soft yellow chalk. I'm not sure why the ornament looks so divided in color unless the Glossy Accents I used on it caused a problem when photographing.
The card base was cut from a K and Company 12 x 12 paper pad. I cut some strip of glitter paper with a scallop die, clipped them like I did on the pumpkin wall hanging I did a few weeks ago, and attached them to the lower part of the circle base after all the scoring and cutting. That's another piece under the sentiment which was computer generated onto a K&C Christmas tag. The hole was already in the tag. I just popped in a red eyelet and some sparkly ribbon.
For the flower I used a beautiful white poinsettia I found in Michael's $1 bin and surrounded it with punched holly leaves that I sprayed with a couple of Glimmer Mists. I scored them for dimension and added the little holly berries covered with Glossy Accents to surround the flower and jazz up the sentiment.
The bottom edge of the main card base was lined with silver gel pen and edged with pearls.
Since you rarely ever see anything here buy square cards, you might already have a clue as to what our challenge theme is this week at Mo's Digital Pencil--"Anything but a square". Grab one of your Mo images and pop it on something un-square and play along for a chance at $5.00 worth of goodies from Mo's store.
