City Crafter Challenge Blog Guest Designer

A while back my friend Kirsty Vittetoe asked if I would have time to do a Guest Designer project for City Crafter Challenge blog.  I don't guess I have to tell you what my answer was.  I was thrilled!  I've been playing the challenges there since the beginning of my card making adventures online.  Kirsty and the DT girls have been such an encouragement to me.  Thanks Kirsty, Linda, Ros, and Cheryl!
For my card I got to use Ros's sketch for this week's challenge.  I had the card all laid out one night and the next day it was almost completely reworked before I sent it off to Kirsty.  LOL
I knew I wanted to do something vintage and girly and thought about a CD-ROM/book of beautiful floral images that I had bought at Barnes and Nobles several months ago.  I've used the "rose of love".  It's printed out on cardstock and the edges are inked.  I've used pale pink, soft pink, and a shimmery white Bazzill cardstock.  I dyed some seam binding using Caramel Apple Glimmer Mist and made a bow and some ruching.  The stitching was done by hand.  I have a DT team mate who is an expert at doing decorative stitching like this on most of her cards.  I've been wanting to try it so I thought I'd use it as a little extra accent.  I think it goes along with the vintage look pretty well.
I hope you like the card.  I really enjoyed making it.  Thanks again to Kirsty and the girls for honoring me with this week's Guest Designer spot.  I know they'd love to see what YOU can do with this week's sketch.
Happy Tuesday!
