Papercraft Star Challenge #29

I have to admit that color challenges are hard for me.  Most of the time they put colors together that I would NEVER put together.  This week's Papercraft Star pallette is no exception.  LOL  Funny thing happened though. The minute I saw those colors I immediately thought, "Hey!  I have those colors in alcohol ink."  I honestly did search through my hoard of papers and didn't have anything to fit the bill so I created my own papers using alcohol inks on Ranger Glossy paper.

The brown panel is really cool IRL.  It looks like wood grain.  The image is a sweet little digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio called "Lily Baked a Pie".  She's colored with Copics.  The sentiment is a freebie from Pink Cat who are sponsoring our Design Team this month.  I dressed up the card with a little pale blue bling and some seam binding I sprayed with Blue Skies Glimmer Mist.

Our sponsor this week is The Scrapbooking Cottage and they are offering a gift certificate.  Don't forget our monthly Grand Prize is being sponsored by Pink Cat Studio so link up your project before noon on Saturday so we can put your name in the draw AND check out your interpretation of this week's color challenge.

Have a great day!

What a fantastic way to create your own paper with the inks! I was secretly glad I didn't have a project to do this week...because (even tho I picked the colors)... they weren't ones I would normally use (if ever)...but I am so IMPRESSED by what you did here..don't think I would have thought of it, that's for sure... this card is BEAUTIFULLY composed...you rocked the challenge... as usual!
