Papercraft Star Challenge #35

This week Papercraft Star wants you to create a project inspired by songs, movies, or books.  Our DT and Monthly Grand Prize Sponsor is Michelle's Scrapbboking & More who supplied me with this fun Pixie Cottage digital stamp called "Catasticat Kite".  The minute I saw him I started singing "Let's Go Fly a Kite" from Mary Poppins so how could I not choose him to work with for this week's project.
I had found some fun American Crafts kite paper at my LSS, but no matter how I tried to design the card you just weren't going to be able to see the kites so I gave up.  The base and panels of this card were actually already made.  I was going to use them on another card that also didn't work out so I cut them down to the size I needed and yippee, they worked perfectly.
Mr. Catasticat is colored with Copic markers.  I used some chalk and a scalloped Nestie to give him some clouds to float through.  The white flowers were lightly chalked with the same blue and then given a rose center.
Don't forget that the entry rules have changed and you now have through 9:00 p.m. EST on Sundays to get your projects linked up.  Hope to see you in this week's challenge!
     Blessings!
