Anne with an "e"

You might remember that I used this Anne of Green Gables image back in February for my daughters b-day.  She just loves this character, and cards inspired by a book or story is what the challenge is about this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.
I played around a little with trying to figure out how to do the folds of her dress.  The first attempt went into the garbage can and  this one is . . .eh?  I'll definitely have to practice some more.  :-)
I did tons of distressing on the K and Company Julianne papers I used for this card.  One of my coloring heroes, Annika, did a card in the last week or so with microbeads on it and I thought it looked so cool so I added some to the corners.  Another coloring genius is Dorcas.  She colors with Prismas (something I tried yesterday with mixed results) and she adds a little blue around her images for the background and I think it looks so good, so I used some chalk to add the blue "sky" behind Anne and the grass too.
As usual, the camera did not capture all the colors just right.  Those brads have a really pretty olive colored blingy stone in the middle that matches the papers perfectly.  Lots of machine stitching and--there she is!  Carrots in all her glory!  :-)  Hope you like her.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Craft Your Days Away--vintage
Emerald Faerie Garden--sugar and spice, all things girly
Fairy Fun Fridays--swirls and pearls
Stampin' for the Weekend--my favorite things
Totally Papercrafts--BINGO (brads, flowers, ribbon)

Mo's Digital Pencil--inspired by a book or story
Crafty Purple Frog--swirls and pearls

Have a great weekend!
