100% Boy

Time for a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil and this week I am playing hostess.  My theme is to use fabric on your creation.  Now I used a piece of denim on mine, but you could use felt, tulle, canvas, burlap, twill tape, or lace.
I picked out Baron and Butch to use on my card and wanted to stick with a boy feel so I went for the denim.  I had originally meant to use a pair of old jeans I had kept of my hubby's but wouldn't you know it I finally got tired of them laying in the crafty closet and threw them away.  Yes Minckler I can hear you gasping.  LOL  Isn't that how it always works.  So I went to my trusty Wally World and lo and behold they had a bolt of this striped denim in the mark down bin so I nabbed an eighth of a yard for $.44.  Yep that's me, the big spender.  hee hee  I used the edge of the piece cause I liked the cool look of it.  Added some twill tape and some corrugated cardboard corners for even more of a boy style look.  I'm really happy with the way Butch's fur came out.
Here's the inside of the card that I finished off with a second sentiment from Create with TLC.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hahahahaha...OMG..you saved me from saying anything!! LOL...and YES, I did inhaled and spewed my coffee as my eyeballs rolled across that sentence. The hubster went flying to the kitchen for a paper towel and the son couldn't stop laughing... For SHAME!! :D Oh but very nice save with the thrifty find and you did achieve the best masculine and rugged elements for this all boy card. Gosh, I still have the picture of me laying on my dog just like that when I was a wee little squirt.
Love the fur too. "It's SO FLUFFY!"
and I really adore the little striped socks :)
Happy WEEKEND Hick.

Wish I lived next door to you, I need to come and play, need some help with my coloring skills. Your fur is awesome. I saw your card on the Mo Manning Challenge blogpost. I looked at all the DT's entries, and loved yours the best. Male cards always seem a bit harder, but you really nailed it. Thanks for such a great card. Today is my first time viewing your blog, but it won't be my last. Way to go!
