Happy Sunday friends! One of the ladies who I go to church with is having a birthday tomorrow. One of my goals this year is to create cards for the people I go to church with. Now that could get overwhelming if we were a huge congregation, but we are a small country church made up of people who's families have grown together in the community for over 100 years. At about 50 or so I think I'll be able to do it although the men are gonna be toughies. hee hee
I've used a beautiful digital image from Power Poppy Stamps. You can also buy this as a clear stamp. I pulled out my Distress inks and set to work doing a little watercoloring. The sentiment was embossed in Liquid Platinum and I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to go along with the sentiment words. You can't see it in the photo but I also went over the flowers with Clear Wink of Stella. So pretty and sparklie!
The inside is just simply stamped with a WPlus9 sentiment that fit with the Precious Remembrance one on the front.
I think she'll like it and I hope you do too.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Power Poppy Peep of the Week-anything Power Poppy goes
Little Red Wagon--sparkle and shine
Stampin' Royalty--birthdays
Be blessed!
Supplies:
Paper--Strathmore 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper, Recollections
Stamps--Power Poppy "Countryside Bouquet", Precious Remembrance Shop "New Day", WPlus9 "Strictly Sentiments 5"
Ink--Versamark, Versafine Onyx Black, Distress inks: Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Pumice Stone, Seedless Preserves
Miscellaneous--Pretty Pink Posh Sparkline Clear sequins, Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen
Beautiful card and image! I love how you colored it!

ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see you use a Power Poppy image. This is beautiful. I have decided to try a few different things craftwise this year. I will have to try one of her images as well. I love the Wink of Stella. I almost stopped using it until a friend I sent a card to complimented me on the glitter on the card. She was thrilled it did not get all over her. Sooo I do still use it...Well I am rambling but Tracy your card is just lovely. Hugs, joann

But I LOVE it and so love your beautiful coloring and how you enlarged the image and added the beautiful embossed sentiment! I so applaud you for wanting to make more cards to actually give people, and what a wonderful idea to share with your church friends. How precious that it's a small and close-knit congregation.
