Are you ready for Easter? This chick is. Wonder if he's multi colored in that shell. LOL This fun image is Purple Onion Designs Easter Chick. For the background I used Kristina Werners acrylic ink smooshing technique and I'm happy with how it turned out. Normally I "over" work my watercolors, but this technique makes that less apt to happen. The smooshing was done with Distress inks and the painting was done with Gansai Tambi watercolors.
Have a blessed day!
Tracy

Omword, that little chick in his colorful egg shell is SO much fun! And I love your background on here, too! The smooshed watercolor looks perfect and really reminds me of dying Easter eggs with the kiddos when they were little!
ReplyDeleteLove how you did this and cutting apart the colored background - clever!! I also watched Kristina's video on smooshing and totally forgot about that technique so thank you very much!!! Big hugs - and Happy Easter Blessings to you and yours!! xxoo
