Ellen Hutson has a wonderful blog attached to her store called the CLASSroom. You can find some really cool techniques taught there. At the beginning of the month a challenge was announced that really caught my eye. You all know how much I LOVE flowers, especially making them myself. The challenge was to make a project with flowers. I encourage you to check out this link and the following posts, especially the one about Susan Tierney Cockburn here. Her hydrangeas and ivy are incredible!
Supplies
Paper: Recollections cardstock, October Afternoon Thrift Shop, unknown brand maroon cardstock
Inks+: Tattered Rose Distress Ink, Derwent Water Color pencils, Olive Vine Glimmer Mist, Inkadinkado Blending Chalk, Cotton Candy Stickles
Tools: Martha Stewart Modern Garden and Rose Leaf punches, EK Success Retro Flower punches, Nestabilities Classic Ovals Large (S4-110) and Classic Scalloped Ovals Large (S4-111)
Miscellaneous: Vintage Shabby Seam Binding
This is my second post of the day so if you'd like to see my card for the opening challenge at the brand new 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog click here.
Hope you like the card! I loved every minute of making all those petals (white cardstock I colored with the distress ink) and the stem (packing paper and Glimmer Mist)--haven't made one of those in a while.
Blessings,
