A Vintage Lady

You have no idea how hard it has been for me to wait until today to make this card.  When this freebie image from A Day for Daisies was offered I knew there was no way I could NOT make a card with it.  I think she is just gorgeous!.  The sketch is from Friday Sketchers, unfortunately yesterday was the last day to use it for their challenge, but I just loved it and was going to use it regardless.
I've used  Basic Grey Curio papers.  I'm really hung up on peachy colors right now so I already knew what color I was going to use on my lady's clothing and I got lucky with the BG papers.
She is colored with Copic markers except for her hat.  This is my second attempt at paper piecing and I used some of the DP to make her hat.  The hat base is the same paper as the big peachy mat and the flowers from the same paper as the mat directly under the image.
I used my last little piece of this cool little metallic fiber to wrap around the image piece.  The large rose was originally white.  I sponged some Tattered Rose Distress ink on it and sprayed it with water.  The sentiment was kind of a surprise.  The top layer is the smallest Nestie from the new Lacey Circles.  This is the first time I've used the smallest die and I didn't realize that it doesn't cut the little half circles out like the rest of the dies in the set.  I carefully inked with Walnut Stain using the die for a mask and then popped the whole thing on a Nestie circle that I inked with the same color.
I'm really happy with how it came out.  The only thing I would change if I could would be to slide the flowered mat up just a tad so that more of the lace would show on the bottom.  Hope you like the card.
I'm entering it in the following challenges.

A Day For Daisies--very vintage
Southern Girls--brads, gems, dewdrops
Totally Papercrafts--paper piecing
Stamp Something--flowers
Do You Stack Up--anything goes

     Have a great weekend!

Wow Tracy, I had to zoom in on this one! Love the paper pieced hat. The flowers fall in a place where I would think they would if it were made of fabric. So much to look at, right down to that shy piece of lace! Beautiful.
