Your Paper Pantry Recipe Card Swap

Some of you may have noticd that I haven't been posting too many extra things the past couple of weeks.  It's because I have been working on a set of twelve recipe cards for a swap over at Your Paper Pantry.  I finally finished them up today and they'll go off in the mail tomorrow.
Our theme was soup/salad recipes.  I found the last few sheets of this Cosmo Cricket veggie paper at my LSS and used it for the matting on the front of the card.  I've glued everything onto some thin chipboard for stability.  I ran some kraft paper through my paper crimper, wrapped it with some baker's twine and popped a cute Nestie diecut on top to announce my "Soup of the Day".  The recipe card was printed out on my computer with a fun font, given a faux stitched edge with a pen, and attached to the base of the card with a paperclip.  The yellow circle paper was on the other side of the pea paper so I just used a punch to cut out the little circles and hot glued them onto the paperclip for a custom embellishment.
For the back side of the card I found some cute green swirly paper at Hobby Lobby.  It has some faux stitching too.  I found those cute seed pack images on line, printed out a ton of them and popped each one on top of a little piece of balsa wood for little garden stakes.  My dirt is just some brown paper raised up on pop dots to meet the height of the balsa wood.  I printed out the sentiment on my computer, cut all the letters apart, inked them and glued them on haphazardly for a fun sentiment.  The cute little bee 3-D sticker is from Mike's.  Our garden always has plenty of bugs.  LOL
Sigh . . . I love doing these swaps, but I put a ton of little things on here that took forever to put together.  I'm not complaining now.  That was totally my choice and I'd do it all again.  I hope my swap partners like the cards.
I hope to have a couple of extra cards up besides my DT projects this week, but I'm not making any promises.  Do you want to make God laugh?  Tell Him your plans for the day (or week).  LOL
Blessings!

Oh, my goodness, Tracy! How fabulous your cards are! I can see why you've been busy for a week. All the detail, all the time spent on this, it all just shows. Love the crimped kraft wrap on the front and then, wowzers, you did such a fun scene on the backs, too. I think my very favorite part are those seed packets in the garden. Your swap partners are very lucky, my friend. :)
