For this week's Celebration challenge at The Kraft Journal I decided to try making one of the cute little pizza box gift boxes I saw at Splitcoast Stampers. I used a sheet of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock to create the box. It was then stamped with that pretty doily stamp and embossed in white. I used some My Mind's Eye designer paper and threaded some white ribbon around the box to dress it up.
For the inside of the box I lined the lid with some more of the My Mind's Eye paper and did the bottom in Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock. Perfect size for a couple of yummy cookies!
The matching card is just a simple little card made with more of the Brown Kraft and My Mind's Eye. For the image I decided to try out the new coloring technique everybodys trying where you print or stamp your image out in a light color instead of the regular black. I love the vintage look of this, but I definitely would have made her hair lighter. I couldn't get it to look right so added more ink and then Prismacolor pencil and it just came out too dark for my liking. I probably could have printed the image out a tad lighter too to actually be doing the technique correctly, but other that her hair I liked the look of it. I wrapped the image and mat with some Green Baker's Twine and added a button.
This would make a cute little quick gift for a co-worker or to pop in that special someones lunch box. :-)
We'd love to have you join us for this weeks challenge at The Kraft Journal. Just get those projects linked up by 6:00 p.m. EST on Sunday. Make sure you have kraft or a Kraft Outlet product on your creation and you just might be one of our Top Three Picks, Feature Me Friday artist or the lucky winner of out monthly drawing for a $15.00 voucher to the Kraft Outlet store!
Happy Wednesday!
