Papercraft Star Challenge #64

Our Papercraft Star challenge this week is lace.  As you can see, I chose to go the "paper" lace route.  For my card I used some beautiful Basic Grey papers paired with a sweet little chef in a "lacey" apron from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I used a doily "lace" punch and "Lacey" Nestie circles.  I guess you could even say the butterfly is kinda lacey.  I bet if we ask her, my little chef's name is even Lacey!  LOL  The sentiment was printed on a background image from the Blank Background (045) digital sheet from our sponsor, The House Across the Bay.

I used a larger portion of the same image to add a poem to the inside of my card.

Here's what the poem says:

My Recipe For Love

Take two cups of kindness,

add one cup of trust.
A half of cup of caring,
and a dash of pixie dust.
Take a spoon of kisses,
add it from above.
Stir it slow and gently,
that's my recipe for love.
Sift some understanding,
add a pinch of tenderness.
Blend a dash of romance,
stir it with caress.
Combine them all together,
add a turtle dove.
Makes two life time servings,
that's my recipe for love.
~ Alice Donatelli

     Isn't that sweet!
The theme of lace leaves the field WIDE open for projects so won't you come play along with the challenge this week.  You could win a top spot, maybe some great digis from our amazing sponsor, and definitely have some fun.  Just pop those creations in our Inlinkz by 6:00 a.m. EST on Monday morning for your chance.  Don't forget to check out the PCS blog post for today and see all the other DT projects and what our guest designer and former PCS member, Liz Kordek, made to inspire you for this challenge.
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp--anything goes

Moving Along with the Times--recipe-3 designer papers, 2 different embellishments, 1 image

You are so clever Tracy NOT to use real lace on your card, but to use punched borders! This indeed has a very lacey feel to it! That poem is mighty fine, as is your choice of image and your colouring just impeccable!! Hugs, Ira
