To Grammy's House

Check out my sidebar for a link to my blog candy!

How's this for a vintage Christmas card look?  LOL  That's what my team mate Jen Leeflang said this was.  I think she's right.  What it definitely is is another of Tammy's wonderfully beautiful images for A Day For Daisies.  You can find it in the ADFD store along with lots of other new releases.
For this card I created a base of dark green cardstock and used one of my last whole sheets of the Basic Grey Jovial pad I had bought last year.  I went around the edges of it with Versamark and added some gold embossing powder.  The two decorative panels were created with an EK Success punch that I trimmed down to the size I needed.  There are some Martha Stewart snowflakes cut from glitter paper, a decorative Sizzix corner, some red seam binding, and a string of buttons done in the style of my friend Audrey Pettit.  She does the coolest things with buttons.  :-)
The image was done with Copics.  I chalked the background and added some flocking and Diamond Stickles for the snow.  I've been hooked on that flocking ever since that ADFD challenge.  LOL  Speaking of challenges, our Under the Sea color challenge is still running for another week at the ADFD blog.  Pop over there and nab that cute little mermaid freebie and play along.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge--Christmas present
Digistamps4joy--Christmas but no animals
Craft Your Days Away--buttons or bows

Have a blessed and wonderful weekend!
