For my card I decided I wanted to have a chevron panel behind my image so I started surfing for a tutorial on how to make your own chevron paper. I found several, but the one I chose to use is a super simple one from Jennifer McGuire. You can find it here. This allowed me to use the papers from the collection to match. I layered the finished piece on two layers of thin chipboard to give it some height and dimension. I tried hitting the embossed dots on my banner pieces with a white ink pad, but you could barely see the white so I ended up going over them with a white gel pen.

I know what you mean about your Gwennie...we had to have our beautiful Morgan put down in Jan (she was 12 & had bladder cancer)...she was still as spry as a puppy & soooo much a part of our family....I still cry soetimes when I think about her!
