B.F.F.

This card goes out to all of you!  Especially those that hung in there with me this week when I couldn't get around to visiting you and leaving you some love.  I've just about caught up.  Have a few new followers and commenters to visit, but I'm about to get back into my comfortable groove. Hope I didn't just jinx myself.  LOL
Last week was definitely a trial by fire for hubby and I.  It started with the computer virus and then a chain reaction of happenings that were nothing but the devil trying to discourage us so we couldn't be a blessing at Bible school.  My car radiator got a huge crack in it and left me stranded at the Post Office waiting for my parents to rescue me.  Hubby had a little fight with his lawn mower that slid into the ditch while he was mowing the grass at church.  The lawn mower made it out alright but he dinged his truck up pretty good with the trailer he hauls it on.  Seems like a couple of other things happened too, but to be honest, we blew it all off and laughed about it because we were determined not to let him get the best of us.  VBS turned out great and we survived all our mishaps.  That's all that counts.  :-)
The paper pad and stamped image I've used were both part of my birthday goodies.  I'm really hung up on blue and yellow lately so this Prima pad is perfect!  Our challenge this week at The Kraft Journal is to "Use any sketch".  I found this one from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for last week.
I started the card with a base of Light Kraft  Cover Weight cardstock and used more of it plus Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock to mat the panels.
The image is colored with Copics and their boas are jazzed up with some Stickles.  Since I didn't want to cover up their legs with my ribbon, I added some eyelets and threaded the ribbon behind the image panel.  For the flower I added a layer of Glossy Accents in the center and sprinkld on some Doodlebug glitter in a coppery brown color.  Then I used a couple of drops of Copic refill to color some plain glass beads to create the sunflower effect.
There are tons of sketch challenges out there so find one you like(Feline Playful is a great source), break out your kraft paper or Kraft Outlet supplies and come join in our challenge.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make It Monday--anything goes

So happy to hear that the 'glitches' were overcome and VBS went on without a hitch...that's wonderful news! Usally stuff breaks down in our house right around tax time..LOL...never fails.
Your blue and yellow fettish at the moment is knocking my socks off. This BFF card is adorable and I looooove the eyelets right smack dab in the midst of the image..that looks AWESOME with the ribbon.
A+ card chica. :)
Cheers!

Tracy - This card is awesome!! Love it! I think I'm heading over to Stampin' Bella for those cuties! I love the DP you used. Love the cranky seam binding. Love how you used eyelets (mine never set properly) to put the ribbon behind the image. Love how you added the elements to the middle of the flower. WOW!
Sounds like you had a tough week. The enemy does like to discourage us when we are being used by the Lord. Good job hanging in there!
Blessings,
Michelle

Oh! I hear you! It's been just that kind of summer for us. So glad you didn't let those mishaps get the best of you and that you were able to laugh about it. I'm still trying, but the cost involved in all of ours has left a huge hole in my heart. Sigh. Enough said. Your card is precious! LOVE the soft color palette, and the glitter touches couldn't be any more perfect!
