How do you Washi?

Have you seen the new recipe challenge over at the Catered Crop yet?  If you haven't, the featured ingredient is Washi Tape.  This is my first time working with Washi.  It's pretty cool and my goodness there is so much of it out there!  The three tapes that I've used came from our sponsor, Chickydoddle.  If you've never played with this stuff you really need to check Winnie's Etsy store out.  She's got lots of patterns to choose from and you can get the tape in different lengths too in case you just need a little something or a lotta something.  :-)
I used a base card of Light Kraft and adhered the brown flowered Washi to a scrap of the same.  Then I used an edge punch.  It's kind of hard to see but the bottom of it is scalloped.  I attached that strip to the base card and then attached the blue tape to the edge of some brown seam binding.  The sticky Washi is a perfect way to keep those pleated ruffles in place.  Next I colored and matted a sweet little Bugaboo digi stamp and added a couple of pink polka dotted Washi tabs to the top corner.
Hope you'll play along in the challenge.  I really like this stuff and I'd love to see different ways to use it.
     Have a great Saturday!
