Now that's a hat!

Is she gorgeous or what!  Now I'm not talking about my coloring cause I'm not all that happy with her hair, but the image itself is so beautiful.  Tammy is releasing some amazing vintage ladies in some stylin' hats this week and this is the one I chose.
I still have so much to learn about Copics and this was an experiment for me.  Generally I stick with the same number group for shading but this time I went out of that for the blues.  My base colors were B41 and B52 but I went to the B90's for the shading and I love how it looks, especially on the bow.  The card is pretty CAS although a few of you have let me know that what I think is CAS still isn't.  LOL  I just can't make a card without a little frou frou here and there.  :-)
You can find all the new images in the A Day For Daisies store and you can pop over to the ADFD blog to join in our current challenge, use an ADFD image and add some script.
Thanks for being patient with my lack of visiting this week.  Our closing program for VBS is tonight and I'll be able to slow down a little and get back into my routine.  I'm such a creature of habit. LOL
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Do You Stack Up--for a friend
It's All About Vintage and Beauty--anything goes
Simon Says Stamp--anything goes
Word Art Wednesday--encouraging and uplifting sentiment
Creative Card Crew--use black cardstock
Tuesday Alchemy--very vintage(or at least looks it)
Make It Monday--anything goes
Seems a Little Sketchy--sketch
Stampin' Sisters in Christ--CAS

     Happy weekend!

  1. Very cool hat and I love your coloring. The lace is a perfect addition. I checked out all the hats and these are some amazing creations. I haven't ever visited the store before, but I bookmarked it to come back later. TFS.

I'd never guess you struggle sometimes with copics, your colouring always looks flawless to me - but I'm glad I'm not the only one still learning :)

  25. Tracey - This is a beautiful card. I love your coloring. The colors in the bows are great! It makes me think of cross stitch designs from Stoney Creek and the way they shade things. So very pretty! I totally understand the CAS thing! I am the hostess for the challenge at SSiC this week and I picked the CAS theme. Then I panicked because I love my embellies! So as far as I am concerned you did a great job on CAS ;) Have a blessed week!

  31. Gorgeous card, Tracy! Love that hat! I'm not really a "hat person" (in other words I don't think I look good in hats) but.....I love them on other ladies. And this one is FABulous! You colored it beautifully. And I have to say that your card looks CAS to me. LOL ('course I'm not the best judge of CAS...LOL)
Hope all goes well tonight with the kiddies.
