Thar he blows!

A big hello to all my sweet friends!
This is just a little heads up post to let you know I may have to be out of pocket for a while.  Seems  Mr. Hurricane Isaac wants to come visit me.  I would very much like to cancel his visit, but I really don't have much say in the matter.  We only live about twenty miles inland from the Gulf so we will definitely feel his effects if he stays on his present course.  It would really be nice if he was a simple rain maker with non destructive winds, but they're saying there's a very good possibility he may strengthen to at least a category 3.  sigh.......It's only been seven years since we had to deal with Katrina and it looks like Isaac is trying to make landfall on the same exact date.  Trust me when I say that NOBODY down here wants to go through that again.
I'm trying to get as many of my projects scheduled for posting as possible in case I lose my internet.  It will be Wednesday before I have anything that will post since I'm doing a tutorial for The Kraft Journal and don't have a Mabelle card this week either.  I wanted to be able to share my big news with you on Thursday and am supposed to be part of a blog hop on Wednesday, but the hurricane is supposed to make landfall on Tuesday so that may not be possible.
Just wanted to let you know what's going on in case you wonder where I am or can't get a hold of me.  Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

  7. Tracy, my prayers are most certainly with you and everyone else in the path of Isaac. stay safe, most importantly of all. blogs and crafting come much much further down the list. you are far too important to take any chances whatsoever!

my family has been keeping an eye on this storm, even though we are way up here in Ohio. 10 years of living in FL has trained us, I guess, and so many dear friends still live there. you included!

  40. My prayers are with you and yours, keep safe and out of harms way. With God's willing we will continue to see the gorgeous things you do. Keep in touch and I will be hoping that the winds blow the hurricane in another direction like towards the waters or that it weaken very soon.

    Best of luck,

  44. I will be praying for you and your family and all those being affected by Hurricane Isaac.

On a lighter side, I just wanted to mention prior to the last large storm that went through here, causing our electric and internet to be out for 4 days, I had purchased a mobile Wi-Fi (MiFi) device and a tablet...best purchases I've ever made! Only way I was able to keep up with what was going on in the world! Had internet throughout the whole ordeal.

    God bless you all!

  48. I think you should just put one of your cards outside your house; maybe a few on the roof for display and it would stop Isaac in his tracks. I know it works for me!! How awesome would that headline be? "Local crafter saves the day."
But in reality, you should probably not take my advice and be safe!! I'm glued to the news and I'll hold my breath until I hear from you again. Scratch that..I'm already turning blue...I'll just talk to you very soon and your family are in our prayers.
    Hugs to you H,
    T
