The Lawn Ranger rides again, and again, and again.......

(If you missed my earlier post for Mo's Digital Pencil, please click here)

WOOHOO!  Two cards in one day.  LOL  Thought I'd share the card I made my dad for Father's Day. Yes, this is another one of those quirky Art Impression stamps, but this is one I purchased myself a while back with my Dad in mind.  There is a bit of a story behind me using this image.  You see the family alternately shakes their heads and cackles with laughter when Dad mows his lawn.  He and Mom have an acre that is predominantly open yard and the man will literally mow it for four days.  No, there is not that much grass.  He'll mow it and then mow it again to blow it into piles and well....we're not really sure what the other mowings are for.  LOL  Maybe he just loves to ride the mower that much.  Who knows but at least it keeps him out of mischief.  So as you can see, I figured this stamp, aptly titled "The Lawn Ranger", captured this aspect of his character pretty darned well.
Since we're talking about dads, pop over to the Catered Crop and play along with the "For the Boys" challenge Linda has up.  She has a great inspiration board up if you need some ideas.
Hope you have something fun planned for the weekend.  My poor hubby has to work so I might need to find something to keep myself out of mischief.  Wonder if Dad will let me borrow his lawn mower?  mwahahaha
There are a TON of Father's Day challenges out there.  Here are a few I'd like to enter this card into.

I love that image!! And the story behind it. I have memories of riding our own lawnmower - until I ran over the well. yikes!

Thanks for playing along with my Amusing Challenges this week - it's a GREAT Father's Day card and beautifully colored I might add!

Wonderful image and a great masculine card. Had a little chuckle about your Dad mowing over and over!

Oh, Tracy this did make me smile! My husband SO wanted a sit-on mower and would spend hours on the thing. Sadly we have spent more on repairs than on the original mower and it's now stuck on the lawn, once again refusing to budge! Hubby is doing his "head in the sand" act as the grass grows... and grows...Maybe I should get this stamp and send him a big hint to get the mower fixed!! Hugs, Tracey x

How funny! That's totally my Mom. She mows the lawn literally every other day and still says it needs mowed on the off days. She's nuts! So, your card is perfect. I totally relate, and the palette is one of my faves right now.

Mwahaha is right! This is freakin' stinkin' hilarious. My Dad used to mow our yard and his rental property dressed just like that - only I think his socks were black. Love it!

Omgosh, Tracy, that image is the greatest!! It does seem to go very well with your father's obsession of mowing the lawn too. LOL - great story. thanks for the links for Father's Day. I don't get around the blog world much anymore, and I really need to post at least once a week again. Hope you have a great week!!

Bwhahahahahahaha...the lawn ranger!!! I LOVE THAT. Funny story. Went to visit the in-laws some years back and offered to mow the lawn for them. Finished mowing 2 hours later only to return to the house with hysterical laughter as I didn't lower the blade.
I bet your family got the BEST laugh with this card. You really did personalize this for your dad. What a great daughter you are :D

Adorable and perfect for a guy. May I post a link to your card on my Manly Monday blog post? I share links to masculine cards with my readers. Many card makers find guy cards challenging. Your card would be a perfect addition to the cards I already have set for this Monday. Do let me know if that is OK with you. Thanks
