Postcard mini album---COMPLETED!

The postcard mini is complete!!!!!!!!!!  I'm really happy with how it turned out and can't wait to fill it with the postcards my sweet friends are sending me.  This album has tons of room so anyone who hasn't sent me one and would like to play along, please join in.  I'd love to fill the whole album up.
Although the album is complete I did not take pictures of every page so that you wouldn't get photo overload.  There are ten more pages besides those shown.  I will go through each and every one in the video I'll be making.
For the cover I used a beautiful Saturated Canary image called "Pack Light".  Believe me, if I could I would pack my bags and visit every one of the places the postcards are coming from.  I added a huge London postmark with a stencil and some modeling paste mixed with ink.  I dug through my ridiculous collection of rubberstamps looking for anything travel related and found a few to add here and there throughout the album.  I also found a few rolls of travel themed washi tape.  The sentiment was found on the internet.  I thought it fit perfectly.  The cover itself was hand cut from chipboard.  I found a line drawing of a postage stamp on line, printed it out to the size I needed and used a hole punch to cut out the notches.  Yes, it killed my hands, but I think the effort was worth the effect.

Here's a close up of my colored image.  I tried to do a coloring video but the quality came out really poor so I think I'm going to have to buy one of those tripod arms.

The inside covers are both covered in map paper.  The whole paper pack and embellishment line that Dilyana sent me is from Do Crafts.  I used almost the whole pack of paper and lots of the embellies too.  The stamps and tag are from my stash.  I've had the Sizzix postage stamp die forever and decided to create some stamps of my own.  They are cut from chipboard.  I painted the frame part, covered the centers with white paper and broke out more of my stamps to create the images.  Covered it all with some Mod Podge and voila!
Just to let you know, we're having a "Map It" challenge this week at the Catered Crop.  Would love to see your projects there using a map in some shape or form.

For the left hand page of each section I used two of the large tickets from the collection.  I glued them back to back with a hinge in between so that I could tuck them under the main page.  It will flip out the the right and I intend to jot down some info on each one about the cards in the pocket.  The little paper clip ribbon pulls are part of the collection.  When you pull it off you can swing the ticket out and there's a pocket underneath.  If you grab the tab at the top of the page and open it to the left there are two more pocketed pages underneath.
I used some stamps I had to create miniature postcards and a template I found on line to create the mini envelope.  There are also a few 7 Gypsies ephemera pieces scattered throughout.  I used a Dymo Label Maker to add the names of a few places I have gotten cards from.

Another hand made stamp and postcard.  That fun pushpin is a stamp from one of my There She Goes Clear Stamp sets.  The ticket side opens the same way I described above.  I used some of the washi tape to cover the center channel between the page sets.  The rest of the album is pretty much constructed the same way.

For the back cover I used a cool suitcase image from Tiddly Inks along with some stamping and a sticker from the collection.  The large tag is from 7 Gypsies.  I broke out my date stamp.  It's stamped a little crooked but after all the traveling done in this album I'd imagine my land legs might be a bit unsteady.  LOL

So there it is.  I hope you like it and am so grateful to those of you helping me fill it up.  I'll post here on the blog when I get the video done.  Too much noise today and my daughter has a friend coming over that she's tutoring.  I'll also post a pic of the postcards I've received.
I'd like to enter my mini into the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant--anything but a card
Make It Monday--anything goes
613 Avenue Create--anything goes with an option of stitching real or faux
That Craft Place--stitching real or faux

Don't forget my blog candy winner will be drawn this weekend if you haven't signed up yet.
     Have an amazing day!

As they say, "you must have been a carpenter in your other life, because, girl, you NAILED IT! Every page not only reflects you design point of view, but also each one is balanced, detailed and beautifully composed. Your execution gets an A+! You know, I am a big fan; and, all of us here at 613 Avenue Create thank you so much for dropping this off by our house! Hope to see you in the neighborhood again very soon.
