A sweet friendship

Our challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil is "Anything Goes".  Don't forget we're having a Guest Designer call.  You can check out the DP2 blog for all the details on how to enter.  The Anything Goes theme will give you lots of freedom to create with your fave Mo image.  I've used one of the newest ones Mo has added to the store.  It's called "Elke and Bear".
I tell ya I fought this card tooth and nail.  I started coloring the image with the branches and apples.  I don't know if it was my markers, a bad piece of paper, or just me, but the ink started just laying on the surface making the apples and leaves all blotchy and ugly.  I used my Blender to take some of it off and it looks okay, but not great.  It may have just been the reds and greens cause I didn't have that trouble with the rest of the image.
I had sworn I was not going to buy any more 6 x 6's until I used up a bunch of what I have.  Sadly I fell off the wagon, but I did go back to an old American Crafts pad for the papers on this card.  Not my usual choices so this card is a bit of a departure from my usual style.  I started with the cute apple paper and as you can see (or not hee hee) there's barely any of it showing anymore.
I inked everything but the image piece with Walnut Stain Distress ink and distressed the edges of the DP pieces.  There's a little fun corrugated cardboard in each corner, a plaid bow, a doily, a couple of buttons, and the sweetest sentiment that's from Create with TLC.
Here's a close up of the image.

I just want to hug her and her bear. You could design children's clothes. You have such an eye for colour and detail. This has to be one of my new favourite Mo images. Love the shiny apples. Fabulous layering on this card. Those corrugated corners are a brilliant idea and contrast so well with the pretty doily under the image. Lots of fun details here...I need to have another long look.

Well, it certainly doesn't show that you struggled with this image, Tracy. The coloring is amazing, as always! Love the highlights on the apples, even. Your attention to detail is amazing. Really love the papers you used, too. The little labels seem to perfect for this, and the corrugated corners and doily add so much extra detail, too. This card just warms my heart. My daughter had a friendship like this with her teddy bear...makes me think of her!
