Make a happy noise

Nope, your eyes aren't deceiving you.  You ARE seeing a Christmas card posted here on my blog.  hee hee  I can't count it as my first make for this year cause it has to go to Art Impressions, but it is Christmas.  The image is called Joyful Carolers.  Aren't they a fun bunch!  I really needed to work on something cheery after the last week and a half I've had.
If you've been reading my last few posts you know that I've been under the weather.  Seems like I am the NON-happy owner of a pinched nerve in my back or neck that chooses to manifest itself in some pretty strange ways.  It's fave is to make the back of my head numb.  Not at all a pleasant experience and thankfully between Aspercreme and a heating pad it seems to be getting better.  Unfortunately the culprit seems to be sitting in front of the computer or my crafty desk for long periods of time so I'm going to have to do some serious cutting back in those areas.  My Kindle has been a lifesaver for visiting you guys for the past several days.  Even though I seem to be on the mend I sure would appreciate any prayers and thoughts you'd like to send this way.  That always helps.
I colored the guys yesterday and made up the card today.  This mornings crafty table time seems to have stirred up that nerve again so I need to finish this post up quickly and get out of this chair.
Here's a close up of the carolers.  I'm not listing the colors because I used a ton.  If you have a particular question I think I'll be able to remember which pens I used.  I used my dotty stamp and some Versamark to add white embossed snow on both the card base and on top of my colored image.

     Have yourself a great day!

Supplies:
Paper--Fancy Pants "Home for Christmas", Kraft Outlet Light Kraft, Bazzill, Georgia Pacific, Copic XPress-it Blending card
Stamps--Art Impressions "Jolly Carolers", There She Goes Clear Stamps "Holiday Cheer", All Night Media dotty stamp
Ink--Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Ranger Jet Black archival
Tools:  MFT Die-namics Fishtail Stax, Memory Box "Snowflake Corner" die
Miscellaneous:  Diamond Stickles, Pearl Perfect Pearls, Stampendous white embossing powder, Ranger Sticky embossing powder, fine glitter from my stash

I'm sorry to hear that you've been under the weather and can certainly sympathise; I too tend to get a trapped nerve in my shoulder and, like you, it's usually because I've been working at the computer for too long. I find it helps to have something to put my feet on when I'm sitting at my desk - there's something about the way it aligns your spine and shoulders - and you can buy special foot stools just for that purpose. As for your card, I just love the fun image and the "snow" is the perfect finishing touch. Hope you feel fully recovered soon - sending healing thoughts to you and a big hug. Tracey xx

Oh I'm so sorry about your back ... I know just how bad and tiring it can be ... my thoughts and prayers are with you ... Hopefully you will recover soon ... It has taken my Aunt a long time to recover from her trapped nerve that caused her such pain I wanted to cry for her. Yesterday by some miracle it released! She has been seeing someone who does the "Bowen Therapy"
Your card is stunning ... I can't begin to tell you how beautiful it is ... and I love the snow effect!

So sorry to hear about your neck. I had the same thing and I had to devise a board so when I color I am not bending my neck down - like a draft table so your work is more eye level. I cant afford a draft table but my work is now raised when I color and I have to take breaks. That is one of the reasons I dont get to make so many cards. Need to rest the arthritic hands and back of the neck. Absolutely love this card!! Hugs and feel better.

I LOVE this card, Tracy! Those snowmen are adorable, and I LOVE the snow blizzard you created! I'm just sooo sorry to hear about your pinched nerve! I know what that is like.......I've had a pinched nerve in my neck for years now, and nothing seems to get rid of it. Flairs up occasionally and is just torture. I tend to get the most numbness in my left foot.....so weird, right? Hope you feel better soon!
