sigh...I can never get my dark green and brown papers to show up well in my photos. At least the rest of the card is true to color. You know sometimes you just need to mix things up a bit in your crafting. I've never had any formal training in art so my cards are always going to be my attempts to use the tips and techniques I've learned from others to the best of my ability.
I'm a huge fan of Jane Allen's pencil work and decided to pull mine out for a play. I picked up some actual "Gamsol" at Hobby Lobby recently and I think it makes blending much better than the stuff I was using before.
So....the above is my attempt to color Mo's adorable Miles in Winter, which I stamped with the rubberstamp form from Stamping Bella, with Prismacolor pencils. You can also find him in digital form in Mo's store.
Hope you enjoyed my little change of pace.
We have a brand new challenge up and running at Mo's Digital Pencil. You can choose from an Anything Goes theme or our optional theme of Birthday.
Happy coloring!
Supplies:
Paper--American Crafts "Jolly", Bazzill, Recollections
Stamps--Stamping Bella "Miles in Winter", sentiment from "Christmas Soldiers"
Ink--Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Black Onyx, Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, Copic Multiliner pen

OMGosh, I love this card so much, Tracy! I can totally see the dark green in your background and love it against the black with that happy polka dotty paper added in! Such awesome layers, and really beautiful coloring! Your pencil work is just amazing! But then, I always think all your coloring is amazing!
Formal training or not, you must have a natural ability enhanced by tips and tricks imho! Your work is always wonderful and I love this card. I think certain colours just don't come across well on camers/screens. I always have trouble with teal shades xx
You always do such a beautiful job on your cards! You can see the green paper and the dotted dp look so fun with that cutie image :)
Tracy this is fabulous! Jo x
Absolutely beautiful!! What a stunner!
Happy weekend Tracy! I just wanted to say that I would sign up for all/any classes you'd offer, formal training or not. You are an amazing card artist! I love your creations, you're the best!
Hugs, Geri N xo
Ever so cute! Beautiful, pencil work, love! And I'm still totally loving those sketch frames!
Beautiful card x
Gorgeous cards, all of them. I've been looking back over the last few days that I have missed and at your fabulous cards Tracy. I love the cute images and glorious colouring you achieve on each one. Today's card has a lovely layout and I think the doodling around the edge looks fab.

What a sweet card, Tracy! That image is adorable and I love your coloring! I also think your brown and green show up very nicely! :o)
A beautiful card and a very nice colour combination, I can see the dark green wel. The image is sooo cute and your colouring with pencils is fantastic (as allways LOL). I like the effect of the lines around the image and sentiment as well. I love your style of card making!
hugs, Marlies
Hehe! Oh, how cute! I just love Miles's hat and the adorable squirrel on top!! Beautifully colored, and once again, you've used that great fine-line border that I adore! Hugs, my friend!
