Miss you

Well, some of you might have noticed I've been missing quite a bit lately.  Or...maybe not.  LOL
Well I haven't been around in bloggy land much cause real life land has been SUPER busy.  Lots of things going on with my church, been doing some quilting for my hubby, and....my daughter graduated with her BS in nursing!  So proud of her.  Now I have a party to plan.  She wants to wait til after her NCLEX test even though she's already been offered an internship in the ICU at one of our hospitals.
I'll be teaching a ladies Bible study class starting in September and our church is planning a benefit fundraiser for a super sweet young lady with five children who has cancer.  Her family is such a blessing to us all and we're hoping we can help be a blessing to them.  So, I'm going to be staying busy for a while.  Doesn't mean I won't be making cards, just not sure how often.  I do have a whole lot of new stamps from Art Impressions to play with that you'll be seeing.
As for today I have a little Purple Onion Designs card to show with you.  The lighthouse image is from the latest release "Happy Trails".  I added some scoring to the front card panel and created a window to make this a shaker card.  Still having a few issues with shaker cards.  Need to find a better foam tape to add the right amount of height and no stickies to catch the sequins.

Copics Used:
C00, C2, C4, C8, R14, R24, R37, Y00, Y11

I'll be visiting you as best I can.  Have a blessed week!
Tracy

Wonderful card, Tracy! I love shaker cards. Have you tried using fun foam rather than foam tape? You can die cut it into the shape you need, and there's not issue with sticky sides with it (unless you get a little sloppy with the glue :-) ).

Cute card, Tracy. A person has to do what a person has to do. Your church is blessed to have you teach the class and participate in the fundraiser. My prayers go out to the woman and her family, who will be the recipients of all your effort. Have a wonderful day.

Oh Tracy, you have been busy! Delighted to hear the news about your daughter, you must be so proud (and rightly)! I'm also finding it difficult to get time to do any crafting and I'm just about managing to get my DT cards for the Christmas challenge in on time. I took Gregor off to college on Saturday and I feel like I've lost a limb - it's going to be a steep hill to climb getting used to my boy being away from home. Sending good thoughts to you and the lady at your church. Hugs xxx

Oh, Tracy, you have been missed a LOT, and you have a lot going on. Congratulations on your daughter's B.S., and praying for her as she takes the test. I know she will do well, and praise God for this wonderful opportunity in ICU. She will be a shining light there. And how fun to work on a quilt for hubby! He will love it. Your church is so blessed to have you, and I'll be praying for you along with this dear family. Such a heartache to have cancer and be so young with five children. Praise God that your church family is doing what God wants you all to do...be Christ to her and encourage and help them all. I love this beautiful card, and I've not yet dared into the shaker card arena. But I would love to. I've seen lots of fun ones, and this is beautifully done. I really love the wonderful lighthouse and scored background. Beautifully done, as always, sweet friend! Praying for you and your family...along with your church family. Hugs and love! xoxo
