The Kraft Journal Challenge #18

This card is dedicated to my fellow teamie at The Kraft Journal, Kristina Harmon.  A long long time ago we discovered we both share a great love for all things chicken. {grin}  When I found this image I immediately thought of her.
This was such a fun and easy card to make.  The base is Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock.  I cut a second mat of the same paper so I could do the stitching and not have it show on the inside of the card.  I also stamped it with a splotch stamp.  Kinda looks like some of those chicken eggs huh.
The band across the center was punched out of Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock  I also used some of this paper to cover the handmade buttons I used for the flower centers.  The buttons are three layers of chipboard glued together.  The bows are tied with Red Bakers Twine.  For the sentiment I used a Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag.  Hope it makes you smile.
You have until 6:00 p.m. EST Sunday to get your interpretation of our "Buttons and Bows" challenge linked up.  Every time you enter you get your name in the hat for the monthly drawing for a $15.00 store voucher from Kraft Outlet.  Trust me, you won't have any trouble spending it on Babette's great products.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Crafty Pad--spots and dots
Sentimental Sundays--anything goes + sentiment
Sparkles Forum--recipe (2 papers, 1 ribbon, 2 embellishments)
Allsorts Challenge--use at least 3 different stamps (Chickens, sentiment, background splotches)
Craft Your Passion--Checks, plaid, or gingham
The Ribbon Reel--color palette

     Happy Monday!
