It's party time!

(My blogaversary candy signup is available through February 28th.)
Meet Penelope.  As you can see she's on  her way to somewhere special and that somewhere is the birthday challenge we're having this week at Mo's Digital Pencil.  Our lovely Tine has chosen a birthday theme for this week.  I started off with a whole different idea, image, design, everything!--for this card and totally switched gears to create this.  The image is called "Penelope's Party Wagon" and you can find it in Mo's store along with lots of other fun birthday images.
I created a frame using layered chipboard and cardstock for the image.  I have a couple of friends, awesome card designers, who are masters at using punched flowers--Debby4000 and sue-bearhouse.  I use to use lots of punched flowers myself and then got away from it cause I lacked the time so instead of getting my Mo card done way ahead like I did last week, I went a bit slower and played with tons of little punched flowers and leaves.  A special thanks to my friend Dilyana for the wonderful tutorial she posted recently on coloring curly heair.  It sure came in handy and worked like a charm.  The butterflies were punched from white, colored with a Copic to match and then embossed with a damask stamp and white embossing powder.  And look!  I finished the inside of this one too.  LOL

I've never really let it be known, but my cards are for sale if anyone is interested.  I know I'm preaching to the choir here since you're all cardmakers yourselves.  LOL  Just wanted to throw that out there.  I've just about convinced myself to open an Etsy store.  I'd love some feedback on that if any of you have any opinions, advice, pros and cons, etc.
Anyway, once again, the challenge theme is "birthday" so hop over to the DP2 blog to see all the inspiration from my team mates and to link up your cards for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's store full of goodies.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Flutterby Wednesday--hearts plus butterfly or fairy
Craft Room Challenge--handmade embellishments
Paper Minutes--butterflies in spring time
Tuesday Throwdown--anything goes
Bunny Zoe's--flowers and pearls
Make It Monday--anything goes
Tammy's Scrappin' Corner--handmade embellishments
Addicted to Stamps--pearls and swirls
Eclectic Ellapu--anything girly
Glitter n Sparkle--female cards
Sweet Stampin'--pearls and swirls
Oozak--anything goes with your fave colors

     Happy Thursday!

Supplies:  Paper--American Crafts "Dear Lizzy Neapolitan", Kraft Outlet Light Kraft and chipboard, MFT card stock, Copic XPress-it Blending card; Stamp:  Mo's Digital Pencil "Penelope's Party Wagon", sentiment from There She Goes Clear Stamps "A Little Treat"; Ink:  Copics, Frayed Burlap, Shabby Shutter, and Victorian Velvet Distress inks, Versamark; Tools:  Nestabilities Classic Squares and Classic Scalloped Squares, Martha Stewart Large and Multi Hydrangea punches, Memory Box Tender Leaves die, MFT Die-namics Fancy Flourish; Miscellaneous:  The Paper Studio and Recollections pearls, Stampendous white embossing powder, Diamond Stickles

This one's definitely a stunner Tracy! Love those papers and the beautiful flowers. Good luck with selling your cards...I'm sure you won't have any problem getting customers, they'll be bashing your door down to get one of your beauties :) They are miniature works of art and deserve to be framed and hung on the wall for everyone to see. Hmmmm maybe you could start your own little art gallery lol
Big hugs xx

fabulous card as always Tracy, love the layout and party image! As for Etsy - all I can say is that if yours don't sell then there's no hope for the rest of us because they're always fabulous! I haven't tried Etsy yet (but tempted!) and just sell odd ones to friends, etc.

Sooo beautiful, my sweet friend! I love your coloring on this cutie, the color combo and of course the punched flowers and leaves.
And in my case, I would immediately raid your Etsy shop *lol* and I'm sure your cards will sell quick. The only thing I'm afraid of is that someone might be faster than me *hehe*. I already know which card I'd like to buy first (it was your 2012 fave Mo card) but I think you won't sell it anyway…
Hugs, Anja

This card is delightful. She looks so joyful. Love her hair! The flowers bring a much needed breath of spring today. They truly are gorgeous and add such whimsy as do your paper choices. I think your etsy shop would do very well. I'd love a Tracy original (or two...or three) to frame and hang in my house. Your art is outstanding!

This card is adorable. You should absolutely sell your cards. We, as card makers, might not be your target audience, but there are thousands of people out there looking for unique, handmade cards to purchase. I don't know a lot about Etsy, but I would give it a whirl! Good luck.
