Azaleas for Mom

     Yesterday was my mother's birthday.  She hit the big 7-0.  She is a huge nature lover so I decided to break out some of my un-inked floral stamps to create her birthday card.  This is a Power Poppy set called "Azaleas".  I wanted to watercolor so I pulled out a set that I bought at Michaels.  Lets just say you get what you pay for.  $5.00 watercolor paint sets are nothing to write home about.  They made a pretty good base coat, but I ended up going back in with Distress markers to get some more defined color variation.

     I won't win any watercoloring prizes, but it sure is fun and a fave coloring technique.
     I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges;

The Shabby Tea Room--pop of pink
The Paper Players--spring
Less in More--this makes me happy
Inspired by Stamping--IBSIC #91 watercoloring
Simon Says Stamp--Anything goes

     Hope you have a fabulously blessed Tuesday!

Supplies:
Paper:  Strathmore watercolor paper, Bazzill, Recollections
Stamps--Power Poppy "Azaleas", sentiment from Altenew "Persian Motifs"
Ink--Versamark, Versafine Onyx Black, Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick, Frayed Burlap, Weathered Wood, Mustard Seed, and Crushed Olive Distress markers
Tools:  Pretty Pink Posh StitchedBorder Dies #1
Miscellaneous--Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder, Artist Loft watercolor paints, Pretty Pink Posh sequins
