Well good Friday morning peeps! We've gone from a couple of days of spring temps with howling winds to early 30's this morning. What a crazy winter. I sure could use some fur like this little guy to keep me warm. LOL
It's the first Bellarific Friday of March which means the DT is showcasing the new "Stamp of the Month". For March it's Mo Manning's adorable Birthday Hamster. You can get him anytime this month for 20% off.
Last weeks challenge was to use washi tape or ribbon on your project. I have to admit I got so caught up in making the card that I forgot the theme. That little ribbon bow on the button saved me.
This is my first attempt at making a shaker card and boy was it challenging. Making the shaker was easy, but I made it hard. First off I only put one layer of foam tape which just wasn't letting the sequins shake well at all so I had to try to peel the image back off and add more tape. That stuff is sticky and it was peeling off paper. Finally got it off and added more tape. Put it back on only to remember that I was suppose to use some white gel pen for the sprinkles on the cupcake so I had to try to peel it off again. Grrrr!!!! Leave it to me to make a very simple process hard. Hopefully next time I'll be more organized. LOL

ReplyDeleteSo adorable!! I love this and those pretty sequins too ... It's been very windy here too ... I'm so fed up of winter!
ReplyDeleteHee hee....this sounds like me on an average day in my craft room! I am always adhering something down only to peel it back off because I forgot something. I have only made two shaker cards in my life, and both times they ended up taking forever....lol! I love how you colored up your darling image....he reminds me of my pet hamster I had as a child! :) Your sweet sentiment treatment and balloons really amp up the WOW factor, Tracy. I'll bet you handmade every single one of your embellishments too, didn't you?! Hoping you are staying warm....we are having the same weather issues here too! Take care and sending hugs to you!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Tracey, he's so adordable! I know it's frustrating when we have to take pieces apart ( I usually destroy mine). However, this was so worth it! Love him, my friend.
ReplyDeleteSo fresh and cute!
