Ride like the wind

You snowbirds have probably tried this winter joy ride, but I have to believe I would do some serious bodily harm if I ever tried it.  LOL  "Winter" is our theme this week at Papercraft Star.  My card uses an adorable Toby Tumble image from Cuddly Buddly that I colored with Copics.  The designer papers are My Mind's Eye.  The darker colored mat is a digital image from the "Feeling Blue" (053) digital sheet from The House Across the Bay.  It looks really dark in the photo, but it's actually lighter and a bit more turquoise tinted IRL.
I went a little embossing crazy on this one.  I hadn't done much wet embossing in a while and I was having so much fun just about everything got embossed.  LOL  The polka dot mat, digital image mat, image, and sentiment all had their edges embossed.  The grey panel was embossed all over with snowflakes.  I also used some Snow Cap paint dabber on the grey and digital mats.
There's a little lace and some pearls.  The snowflakes are buttons that I cut the shanks off of.
Hope you'll play along with the challenge.
Whew!  This has been one busy week.  Getting back into the swing of things after the holidays got put on the fast track with a couple of extra Guest Designer projects.  You'll see one tomorrow that I did for Do You Stack Up Challenge.  Friday is A Day For Daisy new release day and I can only hope I can do justice to the amazing image I picked to use this week.  It's unlike anything I've ever worked with before so it will be quite a challenge for me to get it right.  Then on Saturday you'll see the first of my two month guest designer cards for Inky Impression Stamps.  I think I smell smoke and it just might be coming from all those wheels spinning in my head with design ideas for all these cards.  LOL  My commenting might be a little lacking this week so please forgive me.
     Happy Wednesday!

Hello There

Check out my sidebar for a link to my blog candy!

These Czes Pachela Toby Tumble images from Cuddly Buddly are just so sweet.  This is a for fun card that I definitely had fun making.  More distress ink practice.  :-)  I used some Pearl Perfect Pearls for the snow and Toby's hat.
I added some gold embossing powder to the edge of the large DP base mat and to the button centers.  There's a little cheese cloth under the image panel.  For the little foliage spray I used a couple of tiny pine cones I picked up at Hobby Lobby last week.  The red stamens were in same pack.  The holly leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I embossed the lines into them.  The flower is a Prima that I added a large pearl to the center of and used Glossy Accents to add some gold microbeads.  The ticket is Jenni Bowlin.
Another Christmas card down.  :-)  Hope you like it.  I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:
