Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #18

Several weeks back I won some Digital images from the Digi Doodle Shop. They are so cute! You all know I love florals so everything I picked has flowers in it. I've been wanting to join in the challenge they have, but haven't been able to squeeze in time to make a card. Well I am barely squeezing one in this week, but here it is. The challenge was to use punched or die cut shapes on the card. So I broke out my brand new Martha Stewart Daisy border punch. The image is water colored and the paper is some more of my favorite October Afternoon.

Supplies
Paper: October Afternoon Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite, Recollections card stock, Strathmore Water Color paper
Inks: Derwent Water Color pencils, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Tools: Martha Stewart Daisy border punch, Nestabilities Classic Squares Large (S4-126), sewing machine
Miscellaneous: Vintage shabby seam binding, Prima mini rose, Kaisercraft adhesive pearls

Hope you like the card!

I know you won't believe this, but I do NOT own that MS punch, how is that even possible. But of course, now that I see you have it I shall track it down, and it will be mine. It is so beautiful on here, and I love how you used it in complimentary colors, I never think of that. So, oooooh, now I have taken away a couple MORE good ideas from you ... (well, you can still use them on occasion...)

Hi Tracy~

Congratulations, Tracy! You won the Card of the
Week at the He IS Able Blog! Please check out the blog to see how to proceed! WTG!

BTW, I am completely in love with this card! Pansies were used as a theme in my wedding. They were our wedding colors...the deep purple and bright, deep yellow. I carried an arm bouquet instead of the little flowers, they said they wouldn't have made it through the ceremony in Florida's heat!

Your card is making me so happy. Such great memories to those flowers. My grandmother grew tons of them!

I love your background...the layering is wonderful! I love those big daisies? Are those from your MS punch? Fantastic! Your coloring is wonderful. I love everything about it! Great Job! Thank you so much for winning, so I would come to your blog and see that card! You should try to make more time for card making!
