The Kraft Journal Challenge#10
It's almost time for the wearing of the green! LOL I think when St. Patty's Day comes around everybody seems to magically have a little Irish blood mixed in. I can claim mine legitimately along with a whole mix of others. {grin}
For our challenge this week at The Kraft Journal we'd like to see you make a project with a St. Patrick's Day or green theme.
For my card I started out with a base of Kraft Outlet Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock. Next is a layer of Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock, then some more of the Brown Kraft that I ran through a paper crimper and some fun plaid October Afternoon DP. There's a little bit of Martha Stewart punched border, some fun rick rack, and a group of buttons tied with hemp. I cut the tag from Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock, inked it with Vintage Photo Distress ink, and then added some Vintage Photo Distress embossing powder around the edge. I attached that cute St. Patty's image from the internet that I distressed and covered with Rock Candy Crackle paint. Last but not least is a little snippet of Twill Tape attached with Tim Holtz's Tiny Attacher. I wrote the Irish toast word for health on the Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag. That wish goes out to all of you. :-)
Break out your own Irish genes (real or imagined) for this week's challenge and get your projects linked up by Sunday night at 6:00 EST. Every time you play you earn a chance at a $15.00 store voucher for Kraft Outlet and you just might get picked for one of our Feature Me Friday spotlights!
Happy Monday!

With all the St. Patty's day images on the net, I downloaded this very one to use this year, can you believe it. Guess I won't be using it !! I am thinking about getting that crimper too, you seem to get so much use out of it. I LOVE this card Tracy - but when don't I think your work is the very best of all !!
She's adorable, your little St. Patrick's girl! Love the green checkered paper you used, too, makes a lovely match against the brown paper! Hugs, Ira
