An Acorn Cutie

This image is from Tammy's new release Fall Cuties at A Day For Daisies and it's called Acorn Cutie.  And cute she is don't cha think?  Besides being new release Friday, it's also the start of a brand new challenge on the ADFD blog.  We want to see texture on your cards.  Don't foget, Tammy always provides a freebie so anyone can play along.
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on my mat for the woodgrain look.  The center of the card has some layers of cheesecloth wrapped with hemp cord.  I cut the flourish twice, once from cardstock and once from thin chipboard.  After I glued the two together, I covered the cardstock with Rock Candy Crackle paint.  I added a few fall leaf buttons with some hemp cord pulled through the holes, some pearls, and a sentiment printed on my computer, distressed and matted.
The image is matted three times and I did some faux stitching around it.  Lesson learned here.  I'm running a little low on Copic X-Press It paper so I decided to use up some of the Gina K paper I was using before.  I had forgotten just how much I don't like using that paper with my Copics.  The ink just won't blend and if you go back and add after it's dried a bit the ink just sits on top of the paper and cracks.  I wasn't a happy camper but managed to mainpulate the blending enough to be satisfied instead of starting from scratch.  Back to X-Press It, although I have been reading a lot of good reviews on Cryogen.  If anyone out there has any experience with that I'd love to hear your opinion.
We'd love to see you come play along with the challenge.  It lasts for two weeks so you have plenty of time to play with the freebie or any other ADFD image and get it linked up for a chance to win.
I'd like to enter Cutie in the following challenges:
