Fairy on a Flower

It's a mixed bag of images for Tammy's new A Day For Daisies release this week.

I've used "Fairy on a Flower for my card.  I don't make very many easel cards, but that's the way the creative inspiration went this time.  :-)
I've been playing a lot lately with coloring with distress inks.  GASP!  Bet you all thought Copics were it for me with a little Prismacolor pencil thrown in there every once in a while.  LOL  Don't worry, I haven't lost my love for my Copics, but I just love the soft look you get with the distress inks.  It's always fun to play with a new technique too.
So anyway, I used some papers from a gorgeous Prima pad that my friend Jan sent me.  They were absolutely perfect for the colors I used on the image.  Normally I pick papers first and match to paper, but this time I colored the image first and had my fingers crossed I could find something in my stash that would work.

I tried a few new little things on this card.  I cut the flourish from watercolor paper and colored it with distress inks also so it would match color wise.  It's kind of hard to see it in the photo, but I added some tulle along the left side of the image and in a little fan shape under the purple flower.  Not really sure where that idea came from, but I like it.  :-)  I added a little Diamond Dust to the flowers to give them a sugared look and I created the stick pins.  I know that those second from the top beads look brown in the photo.  I don't know whay they came out like that, but they are actually a beautiful amethyst color.  The sketch photo I used had a decorative edge cut on the right and I almost left it off, but I remembered I had a TH On the Edge die that would work perfectly so I gave it a try.  Helped me break out of the everything has to match perfectly mold I'm usually stuck in.  LOL
Hope you like the card.  Our "add some metal" challenge is still running for another week at the ADFD blog.  We'd love to have you join in.  There's a freebie to play with , but you can use any ADFD image you have.
I'd like to enter my card in to the following challenges:

P.S. What die cuts did you use? I'm interested in the tight fit for the back (darker cardstock) layer. Thanks.
