A little Donna Karan?????

Did you ever start a card with a plan and the end result was nothing like what you envisioned?  LOL  This card is case in point.  The basic sketch design is the same, but the punchwork and the frame are not how they started out.  Papercraft Star's challenge this week is to use a "Frame" on your project.  Originally I cut a circle chipboard piece about half the width of this one and wrapped it in white satin ribbon.  That white just wouldn't work for me and I didn't have any other color that wasn't just going to overtake the card.  I tried using some Glimmer Mist, but that idea bombed.  So I cut a larger circle and covered it in Rock Candy Crackle paint to frame the cute little girl who's sewing.  That image is called "Sewing Girl Tags (163)" and is a digital download from our sponsor, The House Across the Bay.  I think that plain old piece of chipboard made a pretty cool frame.  :-)  Oh and the punchwork...came out of nowhere!  LOL
For a chance at winning some great digital downloads of your own to craft with, make a project with a frame and get it linked up at PCS before 6:00 a.m. EST on Monday.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make It Monday--anything goes
Crafty Emma--vintage
Polka Doodles--vintage/retro
Shopping Our Stash--use a border punch
Mark's Finest Papers--use a border punch

     Happy Wednesday!

Well, you maybe had to play with it, but your final design is just stunning, Tracy! LOVE the framework you ended up with for that fabulous image. Looks like you're peeking into a window. And what great layering and stitching here. Love the punched edge and love the flowers and gems. This is gorgeous!

WOWZA! I hope you create more works of art like this beautiful card. It can be frustrating when an idea in your head doesn't work out (your white frame & glimmer mist try), but holy guacamole it sure turned out in the end! Your Crate Paper is so perfect too...this is the best blogged card I have seen in a long time. Love this!!! Thank you for joining us at Shopping Our Stash.
