Owl always be there for you

A while back I was asked by the lovely ladies at Can You Digi It to be a guest designer for them.  The challenge this go around is "Bird is the Word".  Here's an inspiration photo for you to draw from.
This is a very simple card but it was lots of fun to make cause I got to play with my Distress Stains.
For the main image panel I used some watercolor paper and swiped Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, and Wild Honey across it, blending them to make the sunset.  I don't have a grey stain yet so I just used some ink from my ink pad and a waterbrush to finish off the sky.  I love how it turned out.  :-)
The mountains are an image from AnnieJDesigns which can be found in the CYDI store.  I printed them out to the size I needed for the card and then cut them out.  The little owl can also be found in the store.  His name is Ben and he's from Dana's Digital Cafe.  I colored him with Copics and popped him up on foam for some dimension.  I just printed some stars out on my computer and made the moon from a circle punch.
Pop on over to the blog and play along. Everybody has something birdie in their stash.
     Have a great Tuesday!
