Cheery wishes

     Wow!  Can you believe it's August already?  Where has this year gone?  I have a fun little card to share with you today using "Cheery Wishes" from Whimsy and Stars Studio.  Mabelle's little bear has one yummy looking cake doesn't he.  You can find him in the W&S store along with lots of other cuties.  Mabelle has started adding some of her fall stamps back into the store so you can check those out too if you're ready to start coloring pumpkins and such.  :-)
     Thanks for all the well wishes for a better week.  So far so good!  LOL  I'm actually being pretty productive in the card department, keeping up with laundry (grumble), and feeding my poor deprived hubby(big sigh--with heat index temps of 105-115 cranking up an oven is the last thing I want to do).
     I made this card with paper from a new pad.  I'm soooo bad!  Like I needed another paper pad!  LOL  I just couldn't help myself.  I decided to make the half hour trip to Hobby Lobby since I hadn't been in a while.  I was looking for an Ott Lite for my mom but figured I'd take a look at what else they had and stop by Hancock Fabric next door for some lace.  They've been carrying the same handful of 6 x 6 pads for months so I wasn't expecting to find anything different but low and behold did I get a surprise.  I ended up picking up three new MME pads, a Glitz, and one from Echo Park and they were all 50% off!  YAY!  That's my kinda bargain!
     Got one more card to make for this week and will probably spend several hours putting up veggies from the garden.  Despite the heat the poor thing is still spitting out green beans and okra.
