Wall Art

My daughter never drew on the walls but she did draw on the fireplace.  LOL  Yep, you heard me right.  For some reason one day when she was small she decided the write her name in very small letters in one of the mortar joints in the fireplace.  I was going to take a pic of it to show you, but sadly found that it has almost completely blurred into the mortar.  Just the thought of that little signature there always made me smile and I hate that it's been obliterated.  Should have captured it in a photo.  :-(
Well the little one in this photo has added more than a signature to the wall.  This is one of the new release images this week from A Day For Daisies.  Yes, I'm still practicing CAS with mixed results.  Doing CAS to me is much harder than making a card with all the bells and whistles.  You can check out my teamies work over at the ADFD blog and join in the challenge while you're at it.  Our "Fabric/Fiber' challenge will run for another week.
Hope you have a fabulous Friday!

  14. How sweet and adorable this is Tracy, such a pity your daughter's signature can hardly be seen these days. I remember I used to doodle on the wallpaper in the bedroom where my aunt used to sleep (when she came over for a visit) and of course I'd tell my parents 'auntie did it!' ;-)

  22. I love your story about your daughter "signing" your fireplace. But sad that it's faded. But it certainly hasn't faded from your memory. Those are the things that make our hearts just melt.
Darling card. I have problems with the CAS style too. LOL
