A full heart

Ahhh love is in the air this week at Mo's Digital Pencil.  My super sweet DT sistah Anja has chosen a theme of "Celebrate Love" and I chose to use "Full Heart".  Isn't she so sweet with her garden of heart flowers.
I've been trying to behave myself even though I have birthday moolah burning a hole in my pocket--no new paper until I use up at least most of the three tubs of 6 x 6 pads I already own.  Found a couple of full sheets and lots of scraps from MME Union Square for this card and chose yellow for her dress (1) because I needed something to pop on the card and (2) I love using this combination of pens.  Probably should have went a tad darker for her hair, but I like it just the same.  Added a bit of hand stitching with some DMC embroidery thread on the side panel.
Hope you can find some time to play along with the challenge this week.  There's a gift certificate up for grabs for Mo's amazing store.
I'm not one to step up on the soapbox or become embroiled in controversy of any kind, but there are a couple of rather disturbing and frankly dishonest practices going on in our crafty world that  i feel the need to mention.  First there seems to be an ever increasing number of people on Pinterest who are sharing un-watermarked images from both digital and rubber stamp artists on their boards.  This is a copyright violation and I urge you not to download these images.  It is in essence receiving stolen property.  Nuff said on that one.  :-)
Secondly, one of the Ning sites recently discovered that someone who has been joining in their challenges has been copying and pasting other peoples work as their own entries.  PLEASE watermark your work so this doesn't happen to you.  Our wonderful DT leader Pat at Mo's has been urging us to do this for several weeks now and hearing about this incident just proves the need to take such measures.  I know that some people may feel that having a watermark plastered across the image on your card is distracting, but unfortunately the deceit of some has called for some form of protection.  It's very easy to make a watermark in Photoshop or there are several digital artist who can make you one.
It's really sad to see dishonest practices invading and degrading our beloved hobby.  I hope that NONE of it touches you.
     I'm done now.  :-)
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Oldie But a Goodie--in the garden (my DP, edge punch, and sentiment die cut are all over six months old--especially the paper)
Our Daily Bread Designs--love, wedding, anniversary
Make It Monday--anything goes

Tracy, hun, your card is simply stunning! I really love everything about it and esp. how you implemented my challenge theme! Your used paper scraps are perfect and your resolution concerning new papers is remarkable - have to try this, too! ;-)

Hugs, Anja

PS: Great statement on the dishonest practices of some "crafters"!

Tracy, I just love how you fill up the uncolored spaces of your cards with pretty goodies such as the hearts and borders and stitching! Nice card.
I didn't know about those things you described and I have been procrastinating adding watermarks to my cards. I guess I make myself learn now!

Stunning card Tracy. I love the image, your colouring is wonderful and the papers and details are just fabulous.
It's such a shame that there are such dishonest people out there, I just don't understand how they think it can be right to do such things.

Such a lovely card, Tracy! I love every single inch of it! You are just so talented, my friend! As for the issues you're mentioning, I'm sad to say that I've noticed those disturbing things as well. I guess there will always be people who will choose the "easy" way to steal an image rather than to buy it, but I hope that we can limit those people together by reporting if we see them.

Happy Thursday! :)

Love it Tracy! The papers are gorgeous and set-off your beautiful colouring perfectly :) Hmmmm THREE tubs of 6" pads...now I don't feel quite so bad lol I thought my collection was large but not as large as yours it seems :)
Well said on the dishonest people out there...I refuse to call them "crafters" because they don't belong in our wonderful community!!! It's both sad & frustrating that there always seems to be someone who has to try and ruin things for everyone else. I know a couple of artists have stopped doing digital images for this reason, which means the rest of us miss out because of a few dishonest people...grrrrrr

Absolutely precious, Tracy! Your coloring truly amazes me, and I just love all the blacks and reds here! So striking! I've never watermarked my pics unless DTs require it of me, but I also haven't seen people stealing stuff. Is it more common with digital images?
