Pick a house any house

Now that the weather has warmed up here, my hubby and I are starting to do some fishing again.  I love being on the water.  We have so many amazing coastal birds here and I just love getting to see them close up.  Last week at gorgeous Great Blue Heron landed next to me on the pier while we were launching the boat.  They're my favorite.  I call them Twiggles because of the little feathers that stick up on their heads.  We have pelicans, seagulls, terns, water turkeys, grebes, ospreys and a whole host of others.  Wish I had my friend Pauline's camera skills to capture them.
Anyway, I said all that to say that I like birds.  LOL
This little fellow is no water bird but I don't discriminate against yard birds either.  We have lots of variety in that area too.  He has his choice of birdhouses to choose from and I added a few little jewels that match and pick up the colors of the card.  Purple Onion Designs birds make it easy to fall in love with our feathered friends.

Hope this card brings a smile to you.  Have an awesome week!

Tracy, you are so lucky to live near bodies of water to see all the beautiful birds. I took a picture of a Caspian tern coming out of the water with a fish a couple of weeks ago, but had to drive an our to see the terns, but well worth it. I love the great blue heron as well and the egrets. So graceful when they fly! I will post my pics soon. Your card is so sweet. Love the little scene you created along with the pretty papers and doily. I never think to use my doilies, they just add that little bit of extra to your card. Enjoy your outdoor time with nature!

Sounds like you live in such a tranquil spot, my friend! I love being near water, too. There's something so incredibly peaceful about being around water, and out in nature. Your little yard birds are super adorable, and I love the soft look and feel to your card design. Such pretty colors. Love the feminine bit of doily peeking through. And the gems are a fabulous touch!

Tracy, we too have so many beautiful birds in South Florida, and I love each one for their different looks and sounds. So glad you and hubby are getting out in the boat and fishing and looking at all the beautiful things God has made. I love this darling little bird, and I'm sure he is quite delighted to have his (or her) pick of birdhouses. Such a darling card with the DP and the sweet doily. And your gems finish your card off perfectly! Hugs and love! xoxo
