Owl be yours

     For some reason the sunlight and my light box lights combined to give off a blue hue to this photo which matched perfectly with the colors of my card.  Couldn't do that on purpose if I tried.  LOL

Sleigh ride

     I tried a few different techniques on this card using Art Impressions Sleigh Ride Circlet MTF set.  I hand drew the frame on the front panel with a ruler and colored in the corners.  

     After making the tri-fold card with the images, I just attached it to the top of a plain white panel with the red scalloped mat.  You can write a short note on the inside of the card or turn the whole thing over and write on the entire backside.  

     The holly branch and berries were made using the Die Cutting Napkins tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers.  It's a really cool tutorial so check it out.  

     Basically you die cut your image through eight layers of napkin which is kind of fused together in the cutting process and then you color it with watercolors.  The napkin sort of plumps up with this cool texture.

     I used my Prismas for the coloring.  You can see some of that napkin texture here.

     After embossing the pink panel I used my Tim Holtz sander to lightly go over the raised parts for a distressed look.

Easter circlet

     Here's number 3 of my Easter creations featuring Art Impressions newest release.  The Easter Circlet Mini Tryfold is layering fun.

     I used my Prismas to color the images.  I stamped and die cut each of the images with the coordinating dies.  then I used my circle dies to cut two blank rings for layering.  For the sentiment I used the same dies to cut it from around the base image.  I then added it on top of the layering circles on the front of the card for some dimension.  The first two images are connected to the top of the card and the third is on the inside.  I used the Art Impressions Banner Double Stitched dies to layer the images on and embossed the base panel for the card front.

Row of bunnies

     It will be Easter before we know it so I'm sharing some cards from Art Impressions Basket of Blessings Set this week.  I used the adorable row of bunnies along with Art Impressions Tag Stitched dies to create my card.  The tags are popped up on foam tape.

     I colored up these sweet bunnies with my Prismas.

A little birdie told me

Today I'm sharing one of the brand new Cubbies sets from Art Impressions.  This one is called Woodland Tree Cubbies.

     This one is super fun to play with.  As you can see there are lots of different critters with the accompanying dies.  You can make as many as you want.  Then the main image also has dies to cut out all the little doors and windows for you to pop the critters in any way you want.

     I used my Prismas to color.  I find them easier to use on these small images.

     This was my daughters birthday card.

     Remember, Art Impressions allows their retailers to sell their stamps first before you will find them in the AI store.  So if they aren't there yet check your favorite online stores like Simon Says Stamp.

Miss me?

     Hi all!  Yes, I've been missing in action for quite a while.  A huge thanks to those of you who checked on me.  I suffered a rather large bout of crafty burnout.  I've been papercrafting since 2010 on blog and YouTube and never really had a break from it in all those years.  It just kind of crashed on me and I had to step away for a while.

     I have several cards I made in December to share with you that went to Creativation 2019 with Art Impressions and I am working on the huge stack of new stamps and dies they sent me for the latest release.

     I'm still not up to speed, especially since I have been fighting the flu and it's aftermath for the last two weeks, but I am slowly working on new projects to post.

     Today's card features one of the adorable hedgies in the Hedgehog Set.

      I used a combination of Copics and Prismas to color him up and used a white gel pen to give him some quills.

Easy rider

     This is one easy rider dude.  LOL  Not long ago one of my dear friends at church had her son home for a visit.  He came on his motorcycle and he took her for a ride...she's in her 80's!  She's a go getter for sure.  Wish I could have seen it.  LOL
