Family is a blessing

     This sweet little image is another one from the November Club kit from A Day For Daisies called "New Brood".  You can find all the details about the club kit program here.
     For my card I've colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits.

  • Stamp:  A Day For Daisies "New Brood"
  • Ink:  Prismacolor pencils, OMS, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress ink
  • Tools:  Nestabilities Classic Ovals Large (S4-110) and Classic Scalloped Ovals large (S4-111), Martha Stewart Doily Lace edge punch
  • Miscellaneous:  wooden button from Michaels,burlap thread

Hi Tracy: You know what I love...such a small thing stands out for me...those two buttons on the side. The color and the twine add SO much to the otherwise spectacular card. I'm going to leave it at that so that this can be really taken in. You know I could go on and on...and I certainly have the time to do so for ANY of your cards...but THIS makes the card really powerful for me. Funny eh! Such a thing to add so much. Beautiful, Tracy. What a darling little family of chicks. Your card reminds me of a beautiful black velveteen pullover I made for myself a few years ago. I appliqued a hen and little yellow chicks onto it and embroidered "Grandma's Little Chicks" and their names. I have since gained three more grandchildren with another one on the way and have no room to put on the new ones. Guess it's a good keepsake. Love your card!!!
