A gift wrapped in snowflakes

This week's theme at The Kraft Journal is "Christmas Gifts".  I saw a tutorial a while back on a blog hop and thought it was so cute.  It's called "Box in a Bag" and you can find an excellent tutorial for it at Splitcoast Stampers here.
I created the box that forms the base of the bag with Brown Kraft cardstock and used another piece for the bag body.  I stamped and embossed snowflakes in white all over the kraft paper.  I wrapped the base of the bag with a punched strip of Buff Ivory and two different Merry Christmas paper tapes.
The bag is held closed with a piece of White Twill Tape.  The Scalloped Grungy Prim tag has a strip of the Christmas paper tape adhered to it as well as a Jenni Bowlin Christmas ticket and Vintage Christmas chipboard button.  I used some Hang Tag string to tie the button.
The decorating possibilities with this little bag are endless so I hope you'll give it a try.  It's easy as pie to make too.  :-)
Link up your Christmas gift projects for your chance to be a winner.
     Have a blessed Thanksgiving week!

Hi Tracy: This is the most interesting project. SCS is great for that! I love your santa image and the ticket you put sideways on it. The paper is gorgeous and the trim at the bottom is beautiful. What a great addition with the candle and the completely white background to the pic. Just gorgeous! Divine Love, Samara
