Elfin gold

In case you might have missed the many times I have mentioned how much I LOVE Torico's images (both for TSG and Birdie Brown), I'll say it again.  Is this little imp adorable or what!  I had to grab him from the BB store, couldn't wait to color him, and had the perfect excuse with the gold or silver challenge going on at Catered Crop.
He's colored up with Copics and I added a little Liquid Applique for his hat pompom and some gold Stickles on his ornaments.  I found that cool gold mesh in the Christmas ribbon at Michaels.  I used a Memory Box die to cut five of the jingle bell dies and layered them up.  Then I covered them in gold embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment in gold.  Not sure if I like it or not...might have looked better embossed.
Anyway, we'd love to have you come and play along with the challenge.  Linda has some wonderful Pinterest project pins to inspire you and you can always check in on Sunday and see what the DT has come up with.

Snowball fight!

I have a Mabelle card for you today.  This fun image called Snowball Boy can be found in the Whimsy and Stars Studio etsy store.
I started with a base card of white and then cut a mat of Bazzill which I embossed with a snowflake embossing folder.  To dress the mat up a bit I broke out some white embossing powder for some frosty fun.  The image was colored with Copics, doubled matted and layered on top of another triple matted panel.  If you're wondering why I chose the olive green color for his sweater that color is in the cute little snowman DP.  It just got covered up.  ☺  The snowflake is a Maya Road chipboard piece I covered with Gesso and then glitter.  I think I managed to convey the feeling of cold on this card don't you.  LOL
Be on the look out tomorrow for some special news from Whimsy and Stars Studio.
I mentioned I'd try to take some photos of the goodies I picked up on vacation.  It took three pictures to get it all in.  LOL  Sorry for the bad lighting.  The packaging was reflecting everything.

I was shopping with vacay and Christmas mini albums in mind so a lot of it is for those projects.
Here are a few photos from the trip.  Unfortunately I didn't bring my zoom lens camera so I didn't get very good pics of the big bear we saw, plus he was a lazy bear and just wanted to lay under the tree in the grass.  The first pic is the view from our cabin and the other two are some residents of Cade's Cove.  Those turkeys felt pretty darned safe strutting around there considering it was Thanksgiving day.  LOL

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree

Hello my friends!  I'm back from vacation and ready to jump back in to the crafty card making world with you.  ☺  Vacay was wonderful except my husband was unable to go at the last minute. (insert HUGE sad face here!!!)  Some times those higher ups just don't have a clue.  Nuff said.
The weather in Tennessee was beautiful.  We got to see bears, deer, and turkeys (live ones) and had lots of fun shopping.  Linda B., that store was a dream.  I'll have to take some pics of the loot I found in an awesome scrapbooking store in Sevierville.  Yes, I did say pics cause I doubt I can fit it all in one photo.  I even used a bit of it on this card.  The birdies hat fluff is some Flower Soft.
Guess I better get to the deets about this card.  We have a new challenge up at There She Goes Clear Stamps and it's a photo inspiration.
I've used some images from the "Penguin Pals" set to create a little scene.  The tree is decorated with glittery pink baubles to match the photo and the little bird is decorating the tree with candy canes, which are also in the photo.  The sentiment is part of the set and was cut with a banner die from the "Just For You" dies set.  I used  an awesome sketch from the Inspired By Stamping Challenge.
This week our challenge is brought to us by Candace! She is challenging us to make a card or project using the provided inspiration photo.
To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project with the inspiration photo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (December 3rd). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)
You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG183 so we can check out your beautiful work!
I have over 200 of your posts waiting for me in my reader.  I won't be able to comment on each and every one, but I promise to check them all out and try to get on track this week.  ☺
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Dream Valley--Non-traditional Christmas
Eclectic Ellapu--celebration with sparkle
The Crafty Pad--add some glitter
Make It Monday--anything goes
Totally Stampalicious--non-traditional Christmas

Be on the lookout for cards from Whimsy and Stars Studio, Mo's Digital Pencil, Catered Crop, and a guestie card I made for this week's upcoming challenge at Do You Stack Up.  Hopefully you'll find a thing or two you like.

Baby's First Christmas

My first ever circle step card!  The cutting was a little confusing (the image was supposed to be on the other side.  LOL) but all in all I'm pretty happy with it.
Last Sunday we had a baby dedication at our church for two of our newest little members.  Some of you might remember my tale of Boudreaux Goss, well rest assured that I don't believe the little sweetheart has been called that one time since he was born.  So far he's the total opposite in personality of the little biker babe I used on a card for him.  However, our preacher believes he has a certain twinkle in his eye that warns he is going to probably keep his daddy on his toes.  LOL  For his Christmas card I chose the "First Christmas" image found here in Mo's store.  He's colored with Copics and outlined in soft yellow chalk.  I'm not sure why the ornament looks so divided in color unless the Glossy Accents I used on it caused a problem when photographing.
The card base was cut from a K and Company 12 x 12 paper pad.  I cut some strip of glitter paper with a scallop die, clipped them like I did on the pumpkin wall hanging I did a few weeks ago, and attached them to the lower part of the circle base after all the scoring and cutting.  That's another piece under the sentiment which was computer generated onto a K&C Christmas tag.  The hole was already in the tag.  I just popped in a red eyelet and some sparkly ribbon.
For the flower I used a beautiful white poinsettia I found in Michael's $1 bin and surrounded it with punched holly leaves that I sprayed with a couple of Glimmer Mists.  I scored them for dimension and added the little holly berries covered with Glossy Accents to surround the flower and jazz up the sentiment.
The bottom edge of the main card base was lined with silver gel pen and edged with pearls.
Since you rarely ever see anything here buy square cards, you might already have a clue as to what our challenge theme is this week at Mo's Digital Pencil--"Anything but a square".  Grab one of your Mo images and pop it on something un-square and play along for a chance at $5.00 worth of goodies from Mo's store.

The snowglobe die is awesome!  I used the snowman from yesterday's set and colored him up with Copics.  Ieven added some Glossy Accents to his light bulbs.  For the brads I wanted them to be sparkly so I covered them with GA too and then dipped them in glitter.  Nice and frosty.  ☺

One little, two little pilgrims

I'll be just about to hit the road for vacation when this posts.  I am so sorry for not making it by your blogs this weekend.  Trip prep took more time than I expected.  I'll be around to visit next week.  ☺
This image is from Whimsy and Stars Studio.  Aren't they a sweet pair.  I colored them with Copics and used a paper piercer to match the MS border punch.  The letters were stamped, cut out, inked, and layered on top of some brown Bazzill.
Even though this is a Thanksgiving image and I wish you all a wonderful day with your families (for those of you who are celebrating) consider this a personal thanks to all of you who visit and bless me with your friendship.

TSG Stampbook Saturday

WARNING!!!  Photo heavy!

Several of you know that I started off on the internet making mini scrapbooking albums.  They are VERY time consuming, but I do soooo love making them.
Today is my turn at There She Goes to post a Scrapbook Saturday project.  The "Puppy Love" set by Torico from TSG is one of my faves.  I just think these little pups are so stinkin' cute.
My pup is not much of a pup any more.  She just turned 14 and I've been wanting to do a little album about her so this was the perfect opportunity.  I've used a Michael's $1 bin chipboard album that's been in my stash forevah!  I started to give the details here, but there's just too much, so if you want to know the page by page deets you can check out this video on YouTube.   Here's each page in photos.  ☺

Hope you enjoyed my little album.  I managed to pack in about 25 of the 39 stamps in the set!
I'll be out of pocket this coming week so don't think I've forgotten you if you don't hear from me.
I'd like to enter my album in a few challenges:

Inspire Me Friday--anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday--we're all heart
Make It Monday--anything goes
Tammy's Scrappin' Corner--anything goes

An armful of Christmas

This week There She Goes has been reviewing three of the older sets:  Just For You, Penguin Pals, and Stick Together with cards from the past.  Today we're showcasing brand new cards using these sets.  I chose to use images from the Penguin Pals set.  I've colored this little guy up with Copics and added a little Stickles for the snow and some Glossy Accents on the star and ornaments.
There's still time to play along with this weeks "Let It Snow" winter theme challenge AND there's a Thanksgiving sale going on at the TSG store.

Have a wonderful Friday!  I'll be back tomorrow with my TSG Stampbook Saturday post.  It's the mini album I mentioned last week.  I'll have lots of posts for next week, but I'll be away for vacation so I'll be catching up with all of you when I return.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
