Flowers in bottles

I'm sure we had vases around when I was a kid, but for the most part I remember us putting our garden picks in old coke bottles or little glass medicine bottles for things like violets.  This image is called "Flowers in Bottles" from A Day For Daisies.
Tammy's new releases this week are a mix of flower images and different hairstyles with flowers.   That something else we did as kids.  My grandmother had huge four o'clock bushes in her yard and we'd pick the pink and yellow blooms and thread them on broom straws to make little circlets to wear on our heads,  Ah, really good memories there.  :-)
So for my card I kept it pretty simple.  I didn't want to overpower the delicacy of the flower image with DP print so I kept the colors and designs subtle.
Don't forget our gingham challenge is still running at the ADFD blog.  We'd love to see what you come up with.  Pop over and check out what Arielle, Broni, Lori, and Alice have to share for the new release too.  You won't be disappointed.  :-)
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Digi Makeover--CAS
Kaboodles Doodles--flowers
Make My Monday--spring flowers
Pollycraft--spring has sprung

     Happy Friday!

This card is absolutely gorgeous! And it took me right back to when I was just starting grade school. I spent most of my time at my grandparent's, and my Grandmother always had an assortment of flowers and plant cuttings lined up in jars along her window sill. What a heart warming memory and what a beautiful card! Thank you for both.

I really love this idea for an image--so pretty--and love how you've colored it. Love the whole post, as we did the same with our flowers, not to mention tying the clover stems in knots to create wreaths for our hair. Ah, the good old days!! I still watch for tiny bottles and creamers, etc. to drop little buds in for my kids teachers...they're just sweeter that way!! This is really lovely, Tracy!
